Sharp, but some QC misses
The knife came sharp, and without blemishes. Nothing is wrong with the knife's mechanics, and at say $45 I'd be thrilled with it.For the price, the fit and finish is sorely lacking. The pinned handle slabs are not flush with the spring bar leaving gaps. The action was gritty. None of the handle surfaces are chamfered. The handle itself makes amazing sparks on a fero rod because of its crisp 90 degree edges. (That's a big, not a feature.)The blade itself is not dead flat in its grind. If they're using jigs for the flats at their factory, someone was either in a rush, or in their first month on the job, because the bevels are not consistent. I.e. looks like someone about 6 months into the trade free hand flat ground the blade right before their 30 minute (and 30 minutes only) lunch break.I am happier with my $25 douk douks. This required just a much work in my shop to correct sloppy production and be user serviceable as those did. Maybe less, at least the douk douks handles are less injurious/more fully debured than this one was out of the box.
