No bolts..?
The product itself is pretty good and overall good in shape but, I assumed there would be necessary bolts needed to install it. But, there wasn't any in the package. I assumed wrong.

It holds a kleen kanteen bottle, also S'well, and Hydro Flask
It holds a 27oz kleen kanteen uninsulated bottle, perfect. Also tested on a S'well 17oz insulated, and a Hydro Flask 21oz insulated. They all fit. The kleen kanteen fits the tightest, the Hydro Flash fits 2nd tight, and the S'well fits easy. no rattles, they all fit nice. Many other metal bottle holders have a bent neck designed to hold a plastic water bottle securely, but try and put in a metal water bottle and it will be tight or impossible without bending back some of the metal. The zefal vintage has a straight neck, so bottles go in without a hitch. The leather accent helps secure the bottle. It's a tight fit, but acceptable to me.The chrome finish, and the leather accent are also nice touches especially for those with vintage style bikes.

The cage is not quite as pretty as the old ones with the single clip
This Zefal cage appears to be a reissue of the old single clip TA bottle cage from the early 70s, except is has the welded on mounting clip of the mid 70s TA cages. The cage is not quite as pretty as the old ones with the single clip, but considering 99% of bikes these days have braze-ons, it makes sense they went with this mounting method. It looks quite nice and is period appropriate on my vintage 10 speed. The stitched on leather is a nice touch. It works fine with standard size bicycle water bottles. Size is on the small size if you're trying to use anything else. It was a bit tight getting a bottle in and out at first, but the leather seems too have gotten a little less grabby and it works well now.Fit and finish could probably be a touch better, but they are probably on par with the originals. Even so, I'm going with 5 stars instead of 4 simply because they were kind enough to reissue these.

Not leather
I bought this thinking I would dye the "leather" bits black to match other bits of trim. This is not leather but vinyl or something else. Still like it for the chromed steel.Brian

Lovely and solid
These bottle holders have a great look to match vintage steel bikes from the 1970s.

Awesome Vintage Look - Great Functionality
This is a great vintage-look bottle cage. Vintage style bottle cages are not easy to find. This one from Zefal is one of my favorites. The leather is a little on the light side for my tastes so I used a brown Sharpie marker to dye the leather a darker brown color.I have 11 different plastic sports bottles for cycling - some older and some newer. All of these traditional type bottles fit just right in this cage.

Definitely retro vintage (better) looking for your bike. It's real steel and chrome.
The leather is real and can be easily stained to match the leather color of your seat etc Because it's real steel and chrome you can bend it to the perfect fit as opposed to aluminum that is always too brittle.

Beautiful in form and function
I purchased this cage to go on a roaster-style bicycle. The leather on the cage perfectly matched the handlebar grips and saddle, and it looks very nice. The chrome is nice and shiny, and it mounted easily to my frame. I have a number of water bottles in various sizes and this cage handles them all. The leather keeps even the metal ones from rattling around too much.
