Highly recommend, purchased this set and kept us and the little one entertained while getting him ready for the transition to second grade

I bought several of these books due to the pandemic. I had a feeling much of what my children needed to learn was either forgotten or not learned. What can we expect from crisis learning followed by a 'summer slide?' I bought the pandemic grade and the subsequent grade. My children get 1 page/day from this and several other books from this group. I highly recommend them. It definitely brushed their skills back up without excessive neediness from me to assist (but I still have to check the work).

It is truly educational and informative. Easy to follow through for children who are having problems with writing compositions and just making simple sentences. It’s been helpful so far. Will update upon completion of book but in the meantime I’d definitely recommend.

Inside the first page of this workbook, it is noted that it was "written by Lisa Molengraft". You can tell one fabulous person selected the exercises. It is a balance of detail work that is kind of boring but necessary, like rewriting sentences with capital letters, as well as creative work writing what came next. Each page actually has pretty fun topics to write about. This was written by 1 person, who deserves their name on the cover for all to see, who took pride in their work. I highly recommend the Scholastic Success with Writing series. Skip the Scholastic Grammar ones.

This book was perfect for that student that needs a little extra help. Great for an extra practice sheet during the week or weekend; whatever it takes to help, this book is a sure win. Even for those young ones that ate ahead of the game!!

Used this with my niece to prepare her for 2nd grade. Fun pages and scaffolded, standards-based practice.

Well, it's helped my son stay on track through the summer for the start of 2nd grade. Very useful, tear out sheets for folder assignments to keep him focused on one thing at a time. Cool book.
