Best Soil For Flytraps
Love this soil. My flytrap is doing really well in it. It holds moisture well and it's convenient not having to mix my own. I usually do a pre rinse before planting but was in a hurry and didn't this time. It didn't seem to affect my flytrap at all so am assuming this soil is well balanced.

Great Mix for Healthy Plants
I used this soil for my daughter’s little Venus flytrap and it’s been thriving ever since. The mix looks fresh and airy, perfect for keeping moisture without getting soggy. It came nicely packaged and ready to use right out of the bag. We even repotted a pitcher plant with it, and that one perked right up too. Definitely feels like good quality soil that makes these finicky plants happy.

Venus
My Venus flytrap loves this listen. There's no smells. There's not many, not really a texture to it. The soil is good. The bag wasn't too heavy and sizes pretty good quality for the right for the Venus flytrap

Our Carnivorous Plants are Healthy and Growing with this Soil
I use this for my Pings and my Nepenthes plants. These are the carnivorous plants I keep around my other house plants to make sure we don't have pest problems. The soil keeps the plants alive and sturdy with strong roots. There isn't much of a smell since the soil is non-organic. The texture is soft. The big isn't very big and the price is the price since there is no place around here that sells carnivorous plant soil. As for drainage, we don't want a lot of drainage as our carnivorous plants are from swampy areas. So, the drainage is fine.

richer than expected
I have grown sarracenia for years in just straight spagnum moss but recently got some tiny starts that wouldn't stay solid in the moss so I decided to give this a try. I mixed it half and half . . . the soil promptly ran out of the hole in the bottom of the pot. Covered the hole . . . but not sure how well that will allow the water to come back up into the pot from the dish . . . The soil was much richer, dark black soil that feels good in the hand, than I expected. It does hold the water well . . . will be interesting to see how this works long term.

Works good.
Works good for it's purpose. Rather expensive it seems.
