Great Expectations: Kathy Acker (Penguin Modern Classics)

Not a writer that will be everyone's cup of tea. The writing style changes several times, in a single volume - often reading like a play. And the subject matter may be challenging, or off-putting to some - themes of sexuality, sexual violence, and incest, etc. Miss Acker was clearly a very good writer; and quite courageous in the style she wrote in, and the subject matter she described. She sadly died; but her words are left behind, for anyone searching . . .
