Does it come with any paper?

The product package doesn't come with sample shipping labels. If you are planning to ship your parcels via UPS, FedEx and DHL, you can go to their website, and request them to send you some free shipping labels. They offer free shipping labels for their customers and it doesn't seem having a limit for a maximum number of labels you can order. That's why thermal label printer is a great product for shipping label, no ink, no toner, no tape and no paper purchasing are needed. Save Money!

What is the duty cycle? Will it print 40,000 lsbels per month?

The printer’s printing head was designed to print about 30,000 meters in length of labels, if you are going to print the 4 x 6 inches shipping label, you can print about 196,850 shipping labels; it might be hard to visualize that number of labels. We can put it in the other way, let's say you are an online seller, and you ship product to customers, and you can make about $20 from each shipment, so you will earn about $4M before the printer is out of service; or another way, let's say you are going to print 30 shipping labels every day, the printer can last about 18 years before it is out of service. From those point of views, the label printer is a great investment.

no one seems to sell labels for this model = i'm hoping it used the same round "4x6 inch" labels as the dymo 4xl to buy & print big usps paid postage?

It supports Arkscan’s labels, Zebra compatible labels, and Dymo compatible labels w/o pre-printed content on back. All free shipping labels from UPS & Fedex are supported. Most common shipping labels in size 4x6", 4x8.25" 4x6.75 are supported.
