I was home alone for two weeks, and I wanted something to have with me just in case something were to go wrong. I'm pretty paranoid, so I wanted to get this alarm for some piece of mind. At first, I was afraid to trigger it because I didn't know how loud it would be or if it would even work. That being said, it pulls off easily and produces a loud, sharp noise. It's also easy to reattach the chain so the alarm stops. I keep it on my keys, which I either have on me or next to my nightstand table. I don't know what the two button-looking things are on it, but even though they're pointless I don't mind them. The design is simple, and it's small which is a plus. I hope I don't have to use this, but it's a nice gadget to have.

Added security for those nighttime walks and runs. Very small and easy to use. VERY LOUD, so when trying it out found opening it under a pillow worked well.

I bought this for my girlfriend so that she felt safer knowing she had something that would make her feel safer while leaving work at night in a dark parking lot. I also bought some pepper gel as well but like this for the attention it would create. The only wish we have is if it was louder but this is still very loud.

This SABRE Personal Alarm is very easy to use and is indeed quite loud. We gave one of these to my daughter after taking one of "Refuse to be a Victim" classes and feel much better that she has it on her when traveling in states where she isn't permitted to use other means of protection.The fob can be used as a key chain or attached to just about any strap on a backpack, purse, or even a belt-loop. The alarm is activated when the fob is pulled off the ring, which takes a determined effort. The resulting alarm is quite loud and very attention getting.This is a decent choice for anyone concerned about their safety, just be sure to test it periodically to insure you know how it works and that the batteries are still working.Highly Recommended!CFH

Good concept for an alarm, I have it on a lanyard. It functions well. I imagine it could be useful in an emergency situation. It is loud, it will draw attention. It was an inexpensive way to let my wife feel more at ease.

I can’t get a refund or replacement being I’m past 30 day mark. Wish they either sold batteries for it or send one extra battery it didn’t last long only about 3 months and I never pulled it only when I first got the product to test it

This item did not work when I first received it. I pulled the pin and silence . after pressing on the battery compartment it made a dull sound but nothing grand. After placing the pin back into the device and removing it beeped louder I checked batteries and tried to replace them. But this time the device made a strange buzzing sound even though the pin had NOT been pulled.. Amazon sent a replacement because of this issue. The second one actually worked immediately and is very loud. Its a good device if you get one that isn't faulty. There are no buttons on the item. U do have to pull fairly hard to remove the pin.
