Perfect size to keep anywhere. The way they designed the trigger makes it almost impossible to spray in the wrong direction. The trigger lock keeps you from spraying accidentally. This gel version is far superior to the spray because you don't have to worry much about wind. It is also more effective as it stick to the target.I have not had to spray anyone so I can't speak about effectiveness but Sabre is a well known brand so I am not worried about that.

I feel so much safer carrying the SABRE pepper gel with flip top and clip. It’s compact and lightweight, so I can easily clip it to my purse, keys, or waistband without it getting in the way. What I really like is that it’s gel, not spray — which means it won’t blow back in your face with the wind. The flip-top safety cover gives me peace of mind that it won’t accidentally go off, but it’s also super quick to access in an emergency. I haven’t had to use it (thankfully), but just having it with me makes me feel more confident when I’m walking alone. It’s a smart investment for personal safety.

This girl's boyfriend stopped me and asked me where I got this, because of the lavender color. See you HAVE to get one people notice the color of! My last one was hot pink. And people see it on your wrist when you're walking. I wear it on bracelet keychain.The dye is hot pink. Perfect! The top doesn't flip open on anything by accident either. This is a better design than my last one. Keep them fresh!

The biggest problem is that the bottom can come apart.The bottom is only held on by small plastic clips, which seam to weaken over time. One accidental yank on the pepper spray when the keys get caught on a pocket or something else will result in the bottom coming off. From then on, it's weaker and falls off more often.(I might try super gluing it on to prevent this.)Overall it's a good keyring pepper spray. The finger protection ensures that it never goes off by accident. I've carried this daily for about 3 years now with zero accidental discharges. It's a little bulky, and I do wish they made a smaller one as an option. And the gel is easy to use and aim.

super durable, has been on my keys for months. fits comfortably on my keychain, lock feature secure, no odor. great product for the money.

Love the size of this pepper spray. Fits in my hand. I carry it while walking due to roaming dogs. I also carry it when I’m out alone in parking lots. I’ve not used it so I don’t know about the smell. I did do test spray to be sure it works.

Sabre is no joke and the gel has less that might spray back at you. Trust me, even a light mist of this blowing back was super apparent and it took a good few minutes to feel normal not even getting sprayed with it. I would be hesitant to use a mist spray vs gel, purely due to potential blowback.
