chenyang SATA to 40 Pin ZIF CE 1.8 Inch SSD HDD Adapter Board with LIF Flat Cable

I have an old sony HDD camcorder that was Dead but the drive still had video of my kid from 18 years ago. I tried another version of this adapter and it didn't work, but this one did.

Worked great to get data off an old 1.8" zif Samsung hard drive from an old HP netbook. I used a USB SATA dock with a separate power supply to power the drive. Took a star off because the zif/ce cables that came with the adapter were to thick to use with the Samsung drive. Thankfully I still had the original cable.

Worked to recover files from an iPod classic, if you are trying to do this, make sure you are plugging it in to a powered traditional adapter, otherwise most likely you will not have any luck. The USB ports on may computers are not designed for certain hard drives. Check out Kinkwin Super-Speed USB 3.0, worked for me this time around.

Not work for my Toshiba 1.8 zif hdd. It just light up the board, but not recognized of my disk.

Not sure if there is something wrong and the cables are the same or I'm missing something but I can't get either cable to fit in the socket on the Toshiba. Almost feels too thick to git in the slot and it's not strong enough to apply any pressure so plug it in. Returning

While the product description states that the White end of the cable is a slimmer 0.22mm for SSDs that cannot accept the thicker 0.30mm cable end I can assure you that BOTH ends are exactly the same thickness: 0.30mm. So the included cables with NOT fit an SSD that requires the thinner end. And Good Luck finding one that does.

This hard drive adapter worked far better than expected. I was able to retrieve my entire collection of music from my broken RCA Lyra MP3 player that died in 2014. It took 30-40 minutes to transfer 30 GB to my pc. I don't know what else to say other than it worked.

The ribbon cable's dimensions are neither standard nor precise. I faced significant difficulty connecting it to the HDD—it required excessive force, and the pins were at risk of being damaged during the process. Unfortunately, it didn't serve my intended purpose, as the HDD had a head issue.

Mi serviva recuperare i dati da un notebook con un disco con connettore ZIF e questo adattatore é stato provvidenziale, ad un costo più che accessibile. Utili i 2 cavi inclusi, a seconda della marca del disco da leggere. Velocità di lettura e scrittura ridicole, ma si tratta di mini dischi meccanici da 4200 rpm, non mi aspettavo nulla di più. Ora é nel mio laboratorio pronto per essere usato in caso dovessi recuperare dati da altri dischi ZIF

Tenia un videocamara panasonic que ahora no se enviende dentro havia un hdd de 80 gigas de 1,8”. Quería la información de dentro y me sirvió a las mil maravillas, todo recuperado . Al principio me costo meter el cable flex en el hdd pero es questión de práctica.
