Very Good for the price
The price of furnace filters has gotten to be insane. These filters are reasonable at this price. This is my second pack of these from Amazon, as they always seem to have the best price. My filter box is actually designed for an electronic air cleaner which I need to repair, so I pulled the two electronic boxes out about a year ago, and have not gotten around to replace some of the filament wires. The box had two of those wire filters like you see on a range hood so I used these to support the Filtrete filters by locating them just below the filtrete for support. I run the blower on my furnace full time to cycle the air and these filters do a very respectable job. I'm sure everyone understands that the smaller size the filter is able to catch, the faster your filter is going to need replacement. These filters are a decent compromise. I would like to add here that one of the best things a person can do to enhance the life of their furnace is to keep their blower fan clean. This can usually be accomplished very easily by simply killing the breaker, removing the panel that covers the blower, removing a couple of hex head screws, unplugging the fan and slide it out for cleaning. Most furnace fans are the squirrel cage type and the vanes can really get gummed up which cuts down air flow considerably. I remove mine and put it in my laundry sink with TSP, soap, bleach and hot water. Cleans like new. This is a good time to clean your traps and plenum too. Clogged traps initiate all kinds of furnace problems, and most HVAC people never do the kind of job you would, they simply cannot spend the time. (And...........They want to sell you a new furnace) LOL

Satisfied! Will repurchase these filters again!
We rent our home and are responsible for changing the furnace filters. I went to change this after 1 month and it was barely covered in dirt! I was amazed because we've gone through a lot of other brands of filters over the past 8 months and non have been this top-notch. I think the label says it will clean the air for up to 3 months, but I changed ours after 1 months. I likely could have left it alone for another month, but I'm not sure it would have made it 3 months. Definitely a great value! Will likely purchase again.

Good Mid-Range Filter at a "Mid-Range" Price
These less-expensive filters (by 3M standards) are of acceptable quality, and may hit the "sweet spot" between price and filtering performance for many users. These do not filter down to the levels that the most expensive 3M filters do (some of these filter particulate matter at such small sizes that they claim to actually reduce odors and filter germs), but they perform reasonably well and are priced reasonably (the finest filters are so expensive that they are almost prohibitive). The quality of them seems reasonably good, although the consistency of the filtering material does not match up to the more expensive filter levels. But if you are looking for a good mid-range filter at a somewhat "mid-range" price, these may fit the bill.

Dust be gone!
These Filtrete filters do their job great and for a great value. With a dog and a cat, a clean filter is a must. I know it is only 300MPR, but anything much higher and my A/C really struggles and would freeze do to the restricted airflow. I replace mine every 3 months and to be able to buy them in a pack of 6 that I can keep by the furnace ensures I will always have a fresh one ready to install. I'm always amazed at how much this filter picks up.

Excellent Value!
Recently, when I noticed that it was getting uncomfortably warm in the house, I notified my husband. It turns out that the AC line was freezing up. He changed the batteries in the thermostat, and the following Sunday morning went to Home Depot to purchase two filters for about $10 each. Problem solved. With only the price of the house call, we had our Heating and Air fellow come out on Monday to check our AC and it was fine, no freon needed. It's almost too cold now, so I've moved the thermostat up. Now that I know where the filter goes in the furnace (the filter door), I have assumed responsibility and control of the AC. I have researched and reviewed all the information I could find and I believe this particular filter suits our needs perfectly. I must also mention that I read a tip from another reviewer who mentioned that he picked up the tip of spraying the filter with PAM before installing and that increased the amount of dust collected. I will try it in a couple of months. The six-pack of filters was delivered in two days enclosed in a hard cardboard box with perforations for opening and removing an unbent filter as needed. This is the BEST VALUE hands down!

Fit great and working great
Just put the filter in a few weeks ago and it seems to be doing well. Will be trying to change the filter about once a month or so. Seems to be good filters and a good price and nice to have a box of them handy so I can change it more frequently for efficiency of the furnace.
