This spanish moss is picked from trees in South Florida. It is taken from the tree (not the ground, BUGS, YUCK!) Spanish Moss is actually NOT a moss, believe it or not. Is's an air plant that will live in the air. It is not parasitic so will not kill or take nutrition from other plants that it is connected to. We rinse it off thoroughly and clean it and let it dry out prior to packaging. It is only the best Spanish Moss that we can find for you! When it arrives, if you use it in a pot plant, spray it about once a week and keep it warm, no cold temps. It will last years and years.
