What I like about these strike indicators is their ease of use. You basically use them like a small bobber. I guess fly fisherman have to call them "strike indicators" to be class above spin fisherman.

These are by far the best strike indicators I have ever used. They don’t kink my leader and seem to stay put on even the thinnest line. The package included a couple of extra washers, which I thought was a nice touch for the day I inevitably drop it in the river. All of the colors are easily visible in the water, but the white can be a little bit harder to see in heavy foam. The smaller size does get easily submerged in faster water, but the bigger size consistently rides high and both detect strikes well.

These a great strike indicators for heavy water or drifting larger nymphs. They’re made of a dense foam and come in assorted sizes and colors. As with most things fly fishing you need to use specific gear for the occasion. I wouldn’t use a foam indicator or airlock for drifting small nymphs, in calm shallow water or around really skittish fish. However in fast moving water, darker water, or when I need more buoyancy to suspend heavier nymphs, these indicators are the way to go. Also the small size can really suspend 99% of any fly your fishing.

After a few years of using yarn, I wanted to try a bobber style. These work pretty well. It uses a small plastic nut to attach the bobber (or strike indicater) to the line. If you take care to avoid dropping the small nut it works pretty well. The package included an extra nut or two. The package bag is resealable, like a sandwich bag. So it is fairly handy storage. Floats high, easy to see. Casts OK too. Gave it 4 stars only because I have only used it once; so I am not sure about durability. My guess is I will eventually drop and lose the nut and then the bobber will be useless.

I have been fly fishing for 15+ years and these are by far the best indicators I've come across. Easy to use, easy to adjust, easy to see, and work well in all conditions.

Attracts fish just like it says. No mess. Easy to use. Fish love it.

Love everything about these, especially that they’re biodegradable. How many times a line has snapped in the water to see a plastic indicator float downstream and now at least I know it won’t be there forever. Twist cap makes it incredibly easy to change depths. For a bobber-style indicator, you just can’t beat these for fly fishing.

The small indicators floats two flies well and doesn’t slap the water or spook trout often.
