Fishers oven roasted mixed nuts arrived today. YUMMY . Fresh as can be . Use by date October 2024. No way. I opened the jar immediately and what a treat. A great mixture of my favorite nuts already shelled and ready to grab a handful..How great is that? Amazon and one day shipping .. Okay the holiday is around the corner but shopping with AMAZON has all one wants delivered to the door in one day. Christmas eve one can relax with the Fishers Mixed Nuts..so fresh and price is so great. Mixture of great nuts in one jar. A glass of Dry Sherry would top it all. Be aware —— this mix is about 50% peanuts. If you look at the image on the product page, it looks like an overall balanced mix of nut types… Not so. Just a heads up, in case you wanted a well balanced mix… This is not it.

I started to eat various nuts in order to improve heart health. I have a family history of sudden heart disease and I sometimes felt mild uncomfortable sensation near heart very faintly. A lot of articles and journals recommended nuts ingestion help prevent heart diseases and it seems that it had been established medically. There was not much nuts products near me and most of them had nuts imported from China or other countries. And almost all of the nuts went deterioration of taste and smell within 1 week although I closed the tin can with plastic lid between ingestion. I tried to purchase various Planter's mixed nuts and Fisher's. Of the two Fisher's mixed nuts, this is the one(with light purple label) with great fraction of peanuts in it, while the other Fisher's mixed nuts(with gray blue label) have no peanuts in it. After I finished both Fisher's mixed nuts, I can definitely say that my favorite was not this one with peanuts, but the other one without peanuts. The Fisher's mixed nuts WITHOUT PEANUTS had more large nuts which tasted better to me. I realized I loved large cashew nuts, almonds and pecans over peanuts. And the mixed nuts without peanut smelled and tasted better to me. I knew I can add some roasted peanuts at any time and I can say I truly felt better with the Fisher's mixed nuts WITHOUT PEANUTS. They recommend to ingest 30~40g of nuts per day. Too much nuts in a day may increase fat intake although it is mostly in unsaturated form which helps decrease body fats. So it may take days or even weeks to finish this one bottle. In such case, I'd like to put a small pack of silica-gel within the bottle. I recommend 3~4g pack : 5g pack is too large for this pack preventing pouring nuts. The silica-gel helps the taste and smell of nuts last longer without deterioration. I could even feel that with a silica-gel the taste and smell of nuts felt very good for more than 2~3 weeks. Planter's mixed nuts seem to be fried in certain kind of oil such as peanut(?) oil. So the nuts have oils with it, which may help prevent early deterioration of taste and smell even without a silica-gel. On the other hand, the Fisher's mixed nuts seem to use no oils. I think that Fisher's put the nuts in the oven and just baked the them to let the innate oil contained within the nuts flow out of themselves. So it seemed there was no addition of oil for preparation making the nuts tastes and smells closer to themselves. I'd like to recommend the Fisher's mixed nuts WITHOUT PEANUTS(with light blue label) - it has more larger nuts than peanuts and I really enjoyed the taste and smell of them. I also prefer less oily Fisher's mixed nuts to somewhat oily Planter's. Hope this could assist your decision. Thanks!

these have a very clean and just lightly salted taste. im really impressed with the cashews specifically, since in other mixes from other brands, i always feel like the taste is slightly plastic-y. these cashews have a nice nutty taste with no off tasting taste. the only thing im slightly disappointed with are the pecans. some have the texture like when you freshly crack them where it slightly squeaks when you bite into it and also kind of has that dry feeling. overall a big fan of the mix, tastes great and has some of the best tasting cashews you will find. the flavor of the nuts comes in well and is the main emphasis for the taste, with the addition of a light salt flavor.

Bought them as they were on Black Friday sale. Look elsewhere, do not get these…! I bought this a few weeks ago finally tried them. These nuts are extremely salty and i couldn’t even eat more. Couldn’t return anymore as the return time range was over.. I tried to pair it with beer but it didn’t help, with the rate I’m eating these they could give me heart problems soon. I decided to wash off with water and have to eat them wet. I’m not sure what to do with it! Very disappointed! Please make them less salty it is not healthy at all 😓😓
