AFTER MANY YEARS WORK PERFECT!
Still use it! It's been many many years of travel around the world, no problems what so ever. Great item and works like a charm! Get it for your international travels, it will save you many headaches. Just keep in mind that it's no a voltage regulator. Make sure you electronic item have power supply rated from 110-240 v before use. In some cases frequency of electricity plays a role. For example electric shavers that vibrate, even if rated for proper voltage conversion will not convert the frequency and might vibrate faster or slower causing poor performance or excessive heating.

Cheap and decent
I own a much more expensive Tumi version. This one is not only 1/3 of the price, but it also works almost as well. The main drawback is that prongs tends to get stuck while moving back and forth. It will take some hand dexterity to move them.It is made of more flimsy plastic than Tumi, but these are functional devices. They are not made for elegance and beauty. This has the standard 120v 2 prongs, rounded 220-240v 2 prongs as well as the 3 angular prongs. It can also accept inputs from all types of electrical cord. In other words, you can use this in any country with any consumer electronic device. It also has a builtin fuse that should, at least in theory, protect your electrical devices such as a laptop computer whenever there is an electric surge. It also has a voltage range of 100-240v and that covers practically 100% of consumer electronic devices and all nations provide electrical voltage within that range. Most likely, you will not need a separate electric converter to use your consumer electronics device. If you are looking for a good functional adapter that can work in any country, these are a good buy. Just make sure you have strong fingers to set the prongs loose when needed.

very versatile, with solid construction.
I use these in Tanzania (East Africa), where they use the three-prong rectangular plugs. I have several that I take with me when I travel there (I spend a lot of time there, and use lots of expensive electronics that need to be charged). The device is well-built with solid construction. Ive not had one break. although one did get "fried" in a power surge and it blew out.I am not too sure about surge protection and grounding abilities. To protect things like my laptop etc which really need to be protected from power fluctuations (and Tanzania has a very unstable electric grid), I typically use a high quality APC surge protector between the wall outlet and my electronics to protect against power fluctuations. So my setup looks like this:Wall outlet --->Tripshell Plug Adapter ---> multi-outlet APC surge protector ---> plug my US devices in to the APC surge protector stripORWall outlet --->Multi-outlet APC surge protector purchased in TZ that has their 3-prong rectangular plugs & socket --->Tripshell plug adapter ---> my electronicsFor my less expensive/sensitive devices, I eliminate the APC Power strip and just use the Tripshell plug adapter.I've tried other brands and these have lasted the longest. Some of the cheaper brands blew out as soon as I plugged them in to the wall outlets in Tanzania. For those who ask, this is NOT a power/voltage converter. It is a plug adapter only.

Light, works, bulky, flimsy
Bought this after a long search for an affordable compact world-traveler outlet conversion kit. Just sick of carrying a boat load of adapter plugs, I wanted to find an all in one, never to forget or leave behind, universal adapter combo plug. I have used it a lot and found that it converts well all across the globe. But I feel that I have to be very careful not to break parts off or to drop it. It feels like a typical "Made In China" bulky cheap plastic product, but the upside is that is it very light. If it fails, I will not buy this again, but keep looking for something with lasting quality.

Not very good
This adapter looks cool and sounds like a great idea, but the implementation is very poor. I tried to use it in France and the European style plug would not stay extended -- it wouldn't lock in place. I was finally able to get it to lock in place and it worked -- one time. After that, it wouldn't work again -- I noticed a small crack in the rear attachment but I think that it should still be OK. The fuse might have blown in it, but it has been a pain to use and thank god I picked up another adapter from Wal Mart before I left.

Great adapter
Used this on a recent trip through several Asian countries, and it had all the right plugs. It did blow a fuse when I failed to change the voltage on my dual-voltage hair dryer. This no doubt saved my hair dryer. I didn't have any spare fuses though, so I bought another adapter locally. It was a common type sold here and abroad, but the plugs seemed looser and not as well made. I managed to track down some spare fuses later in the trip and resumed using this one. Now I know to travel with some spare fuses.Additional note: I did resume use of this adapter with my hair dryer. The problem was not the adapter; just that I failed to change the dryer's voltage to what was correct for the country. Dual-voltage appliances must be adjusted before use. Keeping spare fuses on hand will prevent problems.
