I decided to buy it after someone recommended it in some other review
THIS IS A FABULOUS BOOK! I decided to buy it after someone recommended it in some other review.Ramesh writes very simply and clearly in a way that has illuminated deep teachings for me by Ramana Maharshi and Nisargidatta that I have not seen anywhere else despite much searching and personal meditation.I finally get what they are saying in clearer ways bc of his writings. His explanation of the ego as NOT the part of you that CAN become enlightened (so you can stop trying to enlighten that part and save yourself years!) is profound. I have not found such clear teachings even in the original sources (Maharshi and Nisargidatta).GET THIS BOOK! will save you some years of struggling around in other texts for answers and for non answers.....!

Simple and clear. The best on nonduality
This book exposes the myths of enlightenment and at the same time weakens and destroys the seeker ego. It leaves the reader with no more questions about truth and is quite likely the last spiritual work the sincerest aspirant will need. Highly recommended! Wisdom of Balsekar
This book is probably the best overview to Balsekar's teaching; so if you're unfamiliar with his work then this is definitely a good place to start. It touches on practically every topic that could be expected--the ego, consciousness, surrender, karma, grace, the guru, reincarnation, as well as a description of his own enlightenment, and much more.Within these dialogues you will find the same concepts reappearing throughout; for instance, that there is no personal 'self'--no 'doer' behind actions, or 'thinker' behind thoughts. Balsekar frequently emphasizes that, "All there is, is Consciousness" which is an 'impersonal' functioning of Totality. He therefore recommends for one to understand that 'you are not the 'doer', but to act as if you are.'The same themes that are found in other teachings of non-duality will probably be found here as well. His points are very clear and easy to follow, with many wonderful examples to back them up. And since the format is in Q & A dialogue, this is one of those books that you can open up to any page and begin reading.A real pleasure to read.

Duped
I feel like I have been duped into buying this book. The author is stated as Ramesh Balsekar but it isn't. It is actually written by devoted follower Wayne Liquorman. It is written in his own words, applying his own commentary and understanding. Wayne, who writes sincerely and with the best of intentions, cannot seem to get the message across very clearly. In fact he adds confusion to where none existed previously and I have already reached so-called 'enlightenment'. So if those who have ended their seeking cannot easily understand Wayne Liquorman's musings on these subjects what chance do seekers have? Not everyone who becomes a Buddha can teach the message and sadly this is true for this book.

Muddy
I have read a few of Ramesh's books and this one was like wading through spiritual treacle. I would suggest Who cares as a better exmaple of Advaita teaching.

Fabulous book when read in conjunction with Consciousness Writes by the same author.
It has very clear pointers for people interested in the understanding of Advaita. Also recommended along with the reading of these books is his book called "The Seeking". The book by Enza Vita is also recommended. 5 stars for all of these books! These books by Ramesh is especially useful for those who want to integrate the understanding of Advaita into their daily life. Thank you!
