Wolf Spiders (Nature's Children) Paperback – September 1, 2013

My daughter is really into spiders and creepy crawly things. She also loves books so this was one of her Christmas presents. We have wolf spiders that occasionally sneak into my house and I thought she might enjoy reading about them. She loves the pictures and makes up stories about them. While she loves reading about them she is afraid of loose ones in my house. I've caught one or two and put them in a jar so she could get a better look at them up close. She was pretty fascinated by seeing it up close safely but got a little scared when I let it loose it the garden while she was at day care. She thought it escaped on its own. This book has great facts about the spiders as well so between seeing them up close and reading about them it has been a positive educational experience for both of us.

All the books offered are children's books. That's fine, but I would've liked some adult offerings. That being said, this is a wonderful book and pretty complete. Wolf spiders are fascinating.
