What size (in inches) is the perfect cookie circles?

Small circle 1 1/2" and the larger one 2 1/2"

Does it matter what kind of baking sheet you put the silo at over? Does it effect how your cookies turn out?

I've used it with a variety of sheets, I choose based on weather or not I want sides for the cookie, the sheet works with them all. Things that I want crisper or more browned, I usually go for no sides, ones that are going to cook a little longer I prefer sides.
