A must have for all but especially so for parents. 👍👍👍
With two young children, a good quality and accurate thermometer is a must have in any first aid kit, irrespective of whether it's likely to get frequent or infrequent use. I chose this one because it's non-invasive - meaning no intrusion and more importantly no spreading of germs. Also because it's supposed to take accurate readings in 1-second measurement, with zero waiting time.Inside the box is the thermometer and a grey velvet like drawstring bag, and the instruction manual. A quick start guide too. This particular thermometer focuses all its efforts on taking infrared readings by pointing at the forehead or in ear readings, assuming this works and works accurately. Also, as it is non-invasive, you can take temperature readings whilst the child is asleep.Thankfully, the manufacturers have seen fit to supply two AAA batteries so all you need to get started is to fit the two batteries in the back of the thermometer. It has a fairly large and easy to read LCD display window whether the display is illuminated or not. Within the display are also some icons - a house (room temperature), ear (indicating ready for in ear reading), a baby (differentiating between 0-6 years, 6-12 years) and adult (12 years +).There are three actual buttons on the thermometer - measurement button on top of the display (the trigger button), baby - adult button (to reflect the age of patient) and an "M" which is used to switch between room and forehead or ear readings (keeping the M pressed down for 5 seconds enables the memory - the checking of earlier readings). To measure, press the trigger button, point and release the trigger button. It does indeed provide a reading after 1 second. Suggested distance between reader and forehead is 1cm - 3cm.Forehead readings :- Readings between 32° - 37.5°C, the thermometer display will light up green and beep- Readings below 32°C, the display will indicate "Lo" (red illumination)- Readings between 37.6° - 38°C, the thermometer display will light orange and beep- Readings above 38.1°C and the display will illuminate and flash red. The fever warningThis range is pre-programmed.Other points of note - Pressing down the trigger for 5 seconds will turn the volume either on or off.- Can alternative between Fahrenheit and Celsius- Also, the thermometer automatically shuts down after some seconds, so battery should last ages.According to the manual, forehead readings tend to read between 0.2° - 0.8° lower than rectal (I intend to believe this and definitely no plans to prove it 😊). Also that a woman's body temperature generally is 0.3° higher than a mans.So far so good, but the real test is how do results compare ??Very well actually. Based on a sample set, and not uncommon for these types of thermometers, I got to an average 0.3-0.4°C difference when comparing forehead to in ear readings, which I am led to believe is on par forehead vs in ear. In ear constantly consistently delivering a higher reading but not materially different from the forehead reading.Overall I am very satisfied. It does indeed does its job well and quickly and therefore I cannot ask for more !!

Great product
Great product for babies and putting my mind at ease. It’s small enough to carry around, and I’m happy the readings have been correct. Easy to use and value for money

Super Easy to Use
I need to take my son's temperature three times a day and the thermometer I currently have is one of the organic ones, which are super good, but they take a while to rise, so I bought this one that measures in an instant by infrared, from the brandThe outer casing of the thermometer is made of plastic material, measures 5x5x17 and weighs about 110 grams. It has two modes of use, for the ear or for the forehead, to use it on the forehead you have to use it as it comes, to use it in the ear you have to remove the cover from the front so it is more anatomically shaped. It has a screen that indicates the temperature, the screen changes color depending on the measured temperature, white (start), green (normal), orange (mild fever), red (high fever).I really like it, you can measure the temperature in a second and even without touching your forehead, which is great.

Dangerous thermometer
This product does not work, I’ve had it for 2 years and it has said that I am constantly 36.8. I just thought I wasn’t getting ill. Turns out it has been giving me miss reading, and my children. I just got temperature taking at doctors which was 39, I get home 5 minutes later and this thermometer says 36.7. That is so dangerous. Please don’t buy.

Not easy to put together, it kept coming apart
Tried to put together, took ages as it kept falling apart. Once I got it together and moved it, it fell apart again. So it is now back in the box and waiting for my partner to try and put it together as he is stronger than I am, or it maybe better if there are two people to put it together (will see) The sections themselves seem sturdy enough but the connections don't they, keep coming off even after they click.
