BACKGROUND:I have, for the past several years, used  3M Filtrete Micro Allergen Reduction Filters, 1000 MPR, 20-Inch by 30-Inch by 1-Inch, 6-Pack (9822DC-6)  which have worked great. I came across a deal for the 3M Filtrete Ultra Allergen at a price below their normally cheaper counterparts and picked up a 6-pack curious as to see if the difference between the two models is enough to justify the price difference.I have a two story home with four different sized filters to purchase. I was shocked as well as disgusted by both how quickly and how dirty these filters got just after two months of usage.I had a six pack arrive for the various sizes and have used them throughout most of the year. I did notice with the windows shut, the A/C on, and these filters in place, I did not suffer as sever a problem with seasonal allergies in both the Spring and Fall time here in Texas.PACKAGING:These filters came in a six pack in a simple white cardboard box which is the same manner it shows up in chain stores to be stocked on hardware shelves.USEAGEHow often you change your air filter depends upon many factors and so the number differs from each person. Vacation homes about every 6-12 months. Average home w/o pets is 90s days. Average home with pets about 60 days. Average home with more than one pet or members with allergies every 30-45 days.I only have seasonal allergies with no pets. My time frame is suppose to be around 90 days but I was changing these filters out every 60 days because they were developing a very thick grey coating of dust in that timeframe.CUSTOMER SUPPORTUnknown. Never utilized in the time I had the filters.PROS:++ Does an amazing job of filtering the air out for those that suffer a high level of allergens.CONS:++ The higher MPR Rating causes a restriction in air flow. This is a known issue that may cause such issues as higher heating costs in the winter time.CONCLUSION:I will personally stick with the  3M Filtrete Micro Allergen Reduction Filters, 1000 MPR, 20-Inch by 30-Inch by 1-Inch, 6-Pack (9822DC-6)  I do not suffer as sever allergens and feel the cheaper counterparts did their job well enough but for those that do have allergies or pets, I cannot recommend these filters enough.

The title says it all. My wife has HORRIBLE allergies and sinus problems; run in her entire family. Thanks Dad! I tried some other, lower cost filters with a lower MPR rating and within a few days her sneezing wnet from one or two in a evening to dozens. No kidding. She would sometimes sneeze 8 to 9 times in a row and she had never done this in 31 years of marriage. I noticed that dust in the house accumulated quicker as well. I order a case of these (6) from Amazon and received their usual, great service. The filter case was well packaged inside a shipping box and nothing was dented or out of order. I installed one and within 24 hours my wife's sneezing was back to "normal", as was her need to "sound the trumpets - or blow her nose. :-) I wish that 3M made my filter size, 16x24,1 in the higher MPR rating - that's my only complaint but I am not dinging the number of stars given to this product for that.You will experience a decrease in airflow using these filters. We have a 2 stage, forced air heat pump system and while I have no ability to measure the air flow it is honest to say that air flow DOES DECREASE using the 1500 filters. I can tell as the air flow from the vents is lower which effects the cooling and heating ability of our HP system to adequately heat or cool the air. IT'S WORTH IT! I'd rather deal with minor temperature variability then watch and listen to my wife suffer. Again, we have tried lower MERV filters and so far as air flow goes, honestly, they were great. So far as filtering dust and providing my wife with a comfortable living environment, they stunk.Try these. They are absolutely worth the extra money.

Outstanding filters. Purchased these MPR 1500 after reading about them by someone who posted technical info. on the Amazon site. They meet and exceed the stats on the filters that the Lennox dealer recommended for my very fussy new Lennox furnace. While allowing for excellent airflow to the furnace, they also do a great job filtering out dust and dirt. Until I started using them, everything in my house was covered in dirt and dust within 2-3 days after dusting because of the heavily contaminated outdoor air being drawn into my home via normal ventilation. For the past three years and through 2018, a housing development has been going in directly behind my house. Consequently, there is soil, concrete, mortar and who knows what else floating through the air every day. Though Filtrete says these filters can last up to 3 months, the out door air is so dirty that the Filtrete filter turns charcoal grey in 3-4 weeks, and so I am changing them monthly. (I am not using Filrete's higher rated allergy filters because they will not provide the needed ventilation that my furnace requires.) The other filters the dealer had sold me provided the furnace with the same needed ventilation but filtered dirt out so poorly they were barely off white after a month. So, until the excavation and building has cease, I will continue to happily change these filters once a month in order to live in a dirt free environment and not breathe in all the incoming contaminated air particles.

These seem to be working really well for us, has cut down some of the dust and dander! and were a super great deal!

Love them, I have bad allergies. I normally can't find this size anywhere 15x20x1...Usually have to get really cheap filters, nice I was able to get these in a few days.

Great filters at a great price which allows us to change the filter once per month in the winter and once per 3 months in the summer. Keeps our furnace blower fan clean and house free of allergens (dog hair, dust, etc...)

Great quantity for price. Cant find better deal anywhere else, did a lot of shopping around and found it best here.
