Nice safe
Very strong and sturdy, lock works good, came with two keys. Perfect for my needs.

Poor quality lock and latch
Do not buy this safe! The key mechanism and key is extremely poor quality but is used to "latch" the safe closed. Went to pick the safe up and the key broke and is now stuck with the latch open. Without drilling the lock out, the safe will not close making it useless. If the lock is drilled out, the safe will no longer be able to be latched closed? Due to the poor quality of the lock, it makes me question the quality of the safe in the event of a fire?

Compact safe
The compact size of this little safe box means it’s not protecting anyone against theft, so, hopefully for me, its fire resistance is up to par and there’s never a need to test that.

Lock is not the best
Overall I like this a lot. However tue lock does stick when trying to unlock sometimes.

Honeywell 1101 fire safe
Item arrived quickly, Its fairly heavy for its size seems well made. If you are buying this as a safe its not really a safe the latch mechanism is not heavy duty. Its just to keep nosey eyes out or kids but for a burglary safe this is not it. Its just to keep some of your papers or other items safe in case of fire. I thought it might have some sort of seal on the lip of the lid for fire protection but does not. It counts on you leaving the box laying flat and the weight of the lid making a good seal which is ok if you can keep in laying down and not standing on edge.The interior size is ok will fit the width of a legal size papers but will have to be folded for the length. All in all Im happy with it and hopefully I'll will never need it for its fireproof rating but nice to know it will protect your items.

The box had one problem. The latch was bent. I was able to fix it. There is no return policy.
