ESCORT Peavey 2000 Portable Sound System

This is a great system- can setup anywhere and delivers a nice sound. But the Peavey company service department sucks. If you need replacement parts, like wheels, latches or stand knobs- prepare to be ingored. I've been waiting for my replacement wheels for 6 months.

I had the chance to use one of these at a local event. It was such a quality piece of equipment that I tried to buy one but they were out of my price range. The one I purchased from here was so reasonable, works perfectly well and was exactly as advertised. It's actually in better condition than advertised. VERY PLEASED.

First P.A. system I have ever bought. I got it for small band gigs / back yard parties and I am throughly impressed. It has all the inputs and features I could ever want in a system like this. Defiantly has good sound and is adequately loud for our back yard (30' x 90') parties. The best thing of all about this is I can pack it ALL up inside of itself and carry it away all BY MYSELF. I have looked at this and the Escort 3000 system and unless there is something behind the scenes with the 3000 that I don't know about I would defiantly recommend the 2000 system over it - really to me they look / sound the exact same thing only difference is the 2000 has a stand for the mixer included.In my opinion Peavey has always made good solid products, I have not had any issues with this and as long as its taken care of I don't anticipate any. On a side note for Peavey customer support - I bought a Vypr amp from them and when I filled out the warranty card I put a comment in there about how I was not satisfied with the sound and within a DAY a Peavey rep called to rectify the problem. I can only imagine that I would have the same response if I had to make a claim on this system.I would highly recommend this system to anyone starting out with P.A. systems.John

I think this a great little system. I gig out with this all the time with piano and 2 vocalists and it has never failed me. It also had 2 stereo inputs for my keys or plugging in a CD player to use for for breaks. Some things may not be built as rock solid as I'd like, i.e. stands, latches, etc. but I've made do with little problem and contrary to the previous reviewer, I just called Peavey's customer service and was immediately connected and ordered a new latch for $8.99. If it doesn't come within a decent amount of time I'll repost. All in all I love this system!
