Yasutomo Niji Pearlescent Watercolor Set 16 Colors

These pearlescent paints were just what I wanted. I am new to using watercolors or any paint for that matter, but I bought myself some watercolors in tubes and some watercolor postcards I could work on. I had read other people's reviews of these colors where they said they dried so prettily, and so I had to have some too.And they were not lying. If you take a fine tipped brush, like a rigger, and wet it, and then just add a drop of water to the color you want to work with, swirl your brush around in the color for a moment and load your brush, it'll slide on your paper effortlessly and you can make the most beautiful little swirls or dots or hearts or whatever it is you want. They dry incredibly shiny, shimmery, so beautifully. Definitely better than I expected.Make sure you clean your brush completely between using each color--you are not a 2nd grader and don't want to get your colors messed up!! Keep that brush clean and this pan of colors will last you a long long time.

These were a huge disappointment, not worth the money. Colors and Pearlescent pigment was almost unrecognizable. Also, the pans of colors were half filled.

Took two stars off because, while these are beautiful watercolors, there is not a lot of actual pigment in each cup. I suppose that's to be expected for the price, so I cant complain too much. Regardless, these are vibrant, shiny, and just all around beautiful. They mix and dry pretty well, but I mostly use them as a thin, top layer on my watercolors to add a bit of pop. If you want pearlescent water color that will last though, I would suggest getting them from a different retailer.

The variety of colors is perfect for my purposes; I don't want flashy, I want subtle and earthy, so these watercolors have proved to be perfect. Application is smooth and even. There aren't alot of pearlescent watercolors out there for a good price, so this set has sold itself and I'll be buying it again.

These are wonderful. I hand draw and paint greeting cards. And I got these today, so I tried them out. I tried a paint brush, wasn't to happy with the results, so I went to a Q-tip. That works GREAT. And if you are doing a sky. The white is good to blend, and make it appear like clouds.

Beautiful outcome using these paints! When dried the colors are soft and pleasing to the eye. I used them over paint I had previously put down and let dry...this added pearlescent color is like the "icing on the cake". Highly recommend product.

The colors are very sheer , not but a drop of color in each palette. What a waste of my hopes and the time it took to ship this. Not even enough paint to do an art project. Please please do not waste your time or money on this product . The circle you see on each color is the bottom of the metal its held in.

These paint BEAUTIFULLY!!! I’m so amazed at how lovely the paints turned out. A tad disappointed at the shallow pans, they’ll probably have to be replaced quickly. But still, they’re just wonderful!

Deceptive Amazon product. It looks like there is enough paint in these tins to just cover the surface of swatches and, when testing said paint, it comes off with underwhelming amounts of glitter and colour. Will be asking for refund. Do not buy.

Bevor ich mir diesen Farbkasten gekauft habe hab ich mir ein Youtube Video dazu angeschaut, deswegen wusste ich bereits was mich erwartet. Es ist eine schöne Farbauswahl und die Farben glitzern angenehm - sind aber nicht sehr deckend. Es empfielt sich also zuerst mit normalen Farben zu malen und dann einen ähnlichen Glitzerton darüber zu geben. So komm ich wunderbar damit zu recht...und Kinder lieber diese Farben.

Muy delgada la cantidad de pigmento... Los colores no van pegados a la base y andan nadando en el estuche... Por el costo está más o menos pero creo están mejor unas de la papelería

Pans are far less than half full, although paint is carried up the sides to make it look like each pan is full with paint. More packaging than paint, sadly. Otherwise, good colors.

Keine 5€ wert. Wie in einer Rezension schon erwähnt haben die Näpfe so gut wie kaum Farbe in sich. Wollte mich selber überzeugen ob es wirklich so ist oder ob das vielleicht ein Einzelfall ist aber leider ist dem nicht so.Die Farben selber sind eigentlich ganz oke aber eher mehr die Variante School Watercolor und nicht Student Watercoler oder höher.. schade das es keine bestimmten bezeichnungen im Englischen für Aquarell und Wasserfarben gibt. Hier wäre es im deutschen eher die Variante Wasserfarben für Grundschüler.
