Maroon Wood Letter Tiles Set 100 Tiles ~ Game Replacement, Scrapbooking, Crafts, Messages, Etc.

Beautiful set of tiles all around. I purchased this set to replace the miserable tiles that came with my Scrabble Deluxe Edition (see my review of that set, it's a top-notch board!). Specifically, I was looking for a solid-feeling wood tile that had a white-on-dark color scheme reminiscent of the old cherry tiles I remember playing with on a circa-70s board. These are spot-on for what I was looking for. Pros: 1) Consistent tile dimensions including thickness 2) Consistent lettering baseline and value positioning/orientation. 3) Consistent depth of letter stamping (actually, looks like possibly laser engraved, but very clean). 4) Color is less "maroon" as it is a deep cherry stain/varnish. Wood grain is still very slightly visible with a texture finish I would describe as "satin"... smooth to the touch but not glossy. 5) Edging... (I'm a snob about this)... The side finish of the tiles is very clean and the edges have been sanded/finished very well. No corner burring, tooling swirls or inconsistent edge rounding. Cons: 1) Only one... and pretty minor... 3 of the tiles (a K, a M, and a W) have a small amount of white paint bleed-over in the tight corners. It's really nothing major and only something someone mildly OCD about such would notice. And I bet I could clean it up with a q-tip and some nail polish remover. Enjoy!

We have a 50th edition Scrabble board, and the original tiles wore out. We wanted some tiles that were well made and aesthetically pleasing as well! We weed super pleased with them!

The first set was missing 1 letter (5 instead of 6 'R' tiles) but a exchange replacement was sent promptly. These tiles have a very slick surface compared to the original tiles. The white lettering is very easy to see. My original Scrabble tiles had faded quite a bit with age and use.

The set I received had all the correct tiles and all lettering is perfectly legible and centered. I ordered for the color and took a chance based on other reviews. All the tiles look very even in color. I definitely recommend this set.

The pained letters and point values come off too easily. They should stand-up to use better.

Haha, was playing with my 85 year old mom as I have been for 70 years! I noticed our scores getting lower and lower. Turns out 10 tiles were missing. This set upped our scores !

Beautiful tiles, like the originals.

The set of tiles were complete and fit perfectly on my turn table board. The previous set were engraved and these just have painted on letters. Not sure how they will hold up over time, but I'm satisfied with this purchase.
