Blue happens to be my favorite color and I am a sucker for any watch with blue dial and brown strap combo and if it comes with a bezel then you have me sold.I had been delaying buying this watch for quite a long time but finally decided to take the plunge.Alba is a sub brand of Seiko and carries the same "pick me-buy me" appeal as a Seiko does. For lesser mortals like us let it be called poor man's Seiko.The dial is a wee bit (a few mm to be precise) larger for my wrist but I am not complaining. This watch can be used for dressing up or dressing down. Guaranteed to generate looks from total strangers.Go for Alba folks !!!

This watch shares the same movement (VD57) as Seiko .That does not mean Alba is sister concern of Seiko (unclear of this claim). VD 57 movement is made by Hitori of Hongkong . The seller sold this watch to me for MRP which is bad business. Pros: Good time keeping , Great looks .Cons : Stop watch is in a tiny subdial..hard to read as sometimes obscured by the hour and minute hands

The watch looks amazing on the wrist. I was never aware that Alba is a Seiko brand. Not sure why I dont see any marketing for Alba watches in India. SEIKO has targetted this brand mainy for South East Asia it seems. Even after rigorous research, I could not find a proper review of this model. So was bit anxious before buying, but brand's association with Seiko, gave me a little confidence.Once I got the product, I was Amazed, it looks 10 times better than the picture, the image really could not capture its beautiful blue colour and dazzling golden hands. Its gorgeous and definitely will attract attention. So not sure if this can be worn with formals need to see. The diameter is 43.5 mm which is bigger than Rolex submariner which is now 40.5mm. I love this watch with genuine leather belt, will try to see how it looks with Steel straps.
