We used this for a flying monkeys (Wizard of Oz) costume. It worked well and we were able to paint it to match the rest of the costume.

Smelled awful
We'll start with the good - I was able to apply foundation to the elastic band to make it blend better, smd a bit of black eyeshadow brushed over the entire piece with a blush brush added shadows and a more authentic look.It was cheap. (Good or Bad, maybe both)It was stiff and poorly formed (flat), so it dug in. The smell was awful, and with it being over the nose, there was no escaping the odor. I probably lost some brain cells from sniffing whatever chemical that was, but I won 2nd place as a flying monkey in the office contest.

Best monkey nose (bananas must be purchased separately)
My son obsessed endlessly about his costume--a magic monkey with cymbals toy. He picked out a red fez, a red bow tie, a vest, and was down to a number of Monkey noses. This was inexpensive and had the right look. When it arrived it was perfect.Do expect a strong latexy smell when you first open it up. But after airing out for a few days, the smell mostly dissipates. The rubber is thin and flexible, but it seems to hold up well. The elastic cord strap was well fastened and didn't break. It's a crazy little item, but indispensable if you want to dress up as a monkey.

Stiffer plastic than anticipated.
This turned out to be made of a harder plastic than I hoped. Not as flexible; and the nose-holes are NOT cut open, so breathing in this is difficult unless you DO cut them open yourself. The rubber string isn't a secure hold, spirit gum may work to keep this on. No way to blend these thick edges in, unless you use something like nose putty or scar wax. ... or layers of latex along the edges. All in all, I don't think it will work well enough for me without some serious modifications.

Easy costume piece
We purchased these to complete the flying monkey costumes for a production of The Wizard of Oz that I was directing. Worked perfectly. Would gladly recommend these.

Unusable
Terrible smell. Not something you'd want over your nose. Also it doesn't hold its shape. Returned it.

The material is very hard, not plyable. Disappointing.
I like the concept of the costume but the nose is hard plastic and wouldn't meld into my face

... top of your upper lip) and the nose was pretty wearable for the whole night
I made the breathing holes larger and I cut the entire bottom part of the nose off (where it hits the top of your upper lip) and the nose was pretty wearable for the whole night. It is a little hot, and not exactly the best for breathing through but it's to be expected. The fact that I could wear it for hours make it a-okay with me.
