Turntable Belt for THORENS Models TD-125 TD-145 TD-160 TD-165

To play albums on my turntable. A blast from the past! Great that old equipment can still get the parts to keep stuff working .

This belt works perfectly on my TD-160.

Could not play my LP records on my Thorens turntable. This belt allowed me to do so. Thank you!

WARNING The belt did not fit the Thorens it was to wide but I did use it on a Technics.

Thorens turntable belt

The belt was 1-2mm shorter than the original--not a big deal. BUT, it was not elastic (stretchy) enough to fit the drive/turntable mechanism without pulling hard on the drive spindle, which created what sounds like "bearing noise." Based on some googling, these TD145's are very sensitive to minor belt differences. The speed switching mechanism is of poor design. I don't blame the seller here--they were very fair. Thorens seems very "finicky" when compared to other brands.

Too small and wont allow the table to change over to the 45rpm setting

As in other comments too tight caused motor to over heat and shut down.
