When swimming in the sea or pool in really bright sunshine then wearing your shades or specs is not only comfortable you can see whats happening !, (I have prescription lens)if the normal glasses on chain retainer was used if they became off for any reason then down they would go, these Chums do the opposite they float with your specs intact, I tried them in the sea, mildly rough conditions in Cyprus and in the pool with no risk to losing my vision.
