How many players can play together side by side?

I am not sure, however, on the back of the game case it says "Battle your friends in Campaign, Versus, Tournament, Arcade + more." It also shows a picture of the wii remote with a 4 on it, next to the Wii u game pad. Maybe 4 plus can play?

Does this game work on the regular wii game? Or just wii u?

I guess I'm not understanding your question, does the game itself come with a story? Or what's its story on why I'm selling it? If thats the case I found it at goodwill and was hoping to find a better home for it than the goodwill shelf, I would like to be upfront and honest however in that I was just looking at the packaging and found a gouge in the case, I'm sure the disk is fine but I just wanted to make you aware. I have not changed the listing here on amazon yet but will be doing so after I send you this answer
