I like to store dog food in these. I’ve reused mine so many times and it’s holding up great. The seal is still going strong. Sometimes if I pour the dog food over the edge of the bag, the tiny crumbs can get stuck in the seal. I was upset thinking that the seal was weak and had degraded, but I was wrong. I took a toothpick and scraped out the crumbs and it’s been sealing great ever since.

I used a clothes iron to seal them, which worked well. I sealed 4 bags. The problem was later when I tried toiron a shirt, I found there was a bad carbonized plastic coating that had transferred from the bag to the hot surface of the iron. Use a thin T-shirt or paper towel if you're going to use an iron you want to usefor other things afterwards. I was able to get the coating off with steel wool, but it wasn't easyand took some real scrubbing. Lesson learned....Also some people have provided feedback about "pin holes". I noticed that there were a few spotsthat light shined through when using a flash light. At least in my case, they weren't actually holes, just small defects in the silver laminate.

Seems to be nice and thick. Seals nicely, and good value for the money. Fits into a 5 gallon food bucket perfectly. Get yourself the cheapest hair straightener from Amazon and use it to seal the top section. Your better half will be happy you didn't use their good iron.

These bags are perfect for storing bulk food items for emergencies. I was able to store 25 lb bags of oats, rice, or flour in each, then sealed the bags with flat iron curling iron.

I was very pleased with the thickness, quantity and variety of sizes. They allowed me to store a lot of things without having to open one large bag and re-seal. I liked that it would zip closed before I used a permanent sealer and that the oxygen absorbers were included, along with instructions referring to how many to use with each size. I would but from this company again, in a heartbeat.
