Works but way over priced for what you get....
Works no problems there... Be aware it only reads up to 20 mg, Gigahertz Solutions are a real scam not because of the quality but due to the simple fact they only read lower strengths...There RF meters some people are using for cell phones and wifi are so over priced it`s insane and they don`t even read the 5 ghz signals that the newer Wi-Fi routers are using :OLike I said it works but I would never buy any of the RF meters, you don`t need to hear the childish static sound you need the numbers so you can compare them to the Bio initiative report.I have the Ten Mars195 RF meter they go for about $200 to get it to you door, it read up to 3.5 ghz now compare that to the Gigahertz Solutions RF meters...I also have The Alpha Lab AC milligauss meter Model UHS2 that reads up to 2000 mg, it`s about the same price as the ME3830B but it`s a triple axis meter. Only thing is it won`t read the electric fields only the magnetic.Point being Gigahertz Solutions is a scam and the only meter I would buy from them is the ME3830B for all other areas of EMF look elsewhere...If your looking for something to use around the home it will do the job...

Instrument of good general workmanship, the band up to 100KHz and the measurement of magnetic and electric fields are appreciable. However, the measurement of the magnetic field, in the range of its relevance up to 2 microTesla, is affected by a systematic error of about -50%. This result is obtained by comparison with other instruments of similar cost and with a reference probe connected to the quality DMM (for those who appreciate, the measurement made with the DMM must be multiplied by 4 Pi-greek / 10 to obtain the value of a microTesla). Tests performed from 50Hz to 1kHz, same behavior. Tried in every way to orient differently, but the magnetic field measurement is always -50% of what it should be ... very far from the +/- 2% +/- 14 digits declared by the manufacturer. In addition, the instrument is accompanied by an instruction manual well done but without accuracy specifications. The accuracy specification I had to download from the manufacturer's website. Furthermore, the instrument does not have a calibration certificate, which makes it impossible to use in the workplace.Let us remember that the instrument for measuring the magnetic field is only with one axis and does not have three and moreover it is limited to the maximum value of the magnetic field field B of only 2microTesla, i.e. 20mGauss, now those who are practical know that it is a very low value that it is easily reached near some transformer and electric motor, even small, due to the dispersed magnetic fluxes, even of small value. Therefore the magnetic field measurement B easily saturates when used in real situations even with small electrical appliances at 50Hz. The measurement of the Electric field has not yet been investigated, but the numbers seem reasonable. I think it's not worth it ... a real shame, I think I'll give it back.Strumento di buona fattura generale, apprezzabile la banda fino a 100KHz e la misura di campo magnetico ed elettrico. Tuttavia la misura di campo magnetico, nel range di sua pertinenza fino a 2 microTesla, è affetta da errore sistematico di circa il -50%. Questo risultato è ottenuto per confronto con altri strumenti di analogo costo e con probe di riferimento collegato al DMM di qualità (per chi apprezza, la misura fatta con il DMM va moltiplicata per 4 Pi-greco/10 per ottenere il valore un microTesla) . Prove eseguite da 50Hz a 1kHz, stesso comportamento. Provato in tutti i modi ad orientare diversamente, ma la misura di campo magnetico è sempre il -50% di quanto dovrebbe essere... molto lontano dal +/-2% +/-14 digit dichiarati dal costruttore. Inoltre lo strumento è accompagnato da un manualetto d'istruzioni ben fatto ma privo delle specifiche di accuracy. La specifica di accuracy l'ho dovuta scaricare dal sito del produttore. Inoltre, lo strumento non ha un certificato di calibrazione, cosa che lo rende impossibile da usare in ambito lavorativo.Ricordiamoci che lo strumento per la misura di campo magnetico è solo ad un asse e non ha tre ed inoltre è limitato al valore massimo di campo di campo magnetico B di soli 2microTesla cioè 20mGauss, ora chi è pratico sa che è un valore molto basso che si ragginge facilmente in prossimità di qualunte trasformatore e motore elettrico, anche piccolo, per via dei flussi magnetici dispersi anche di piccolo valore. Quindi la misura di campo magnatico B satura facilmente quando impiegato in situazioni reali anche con piccoli apparecchi elettrici a 50Hz. La misura di campo Elettrico al momento non è stata ancora indagata, ma i numeri sembrano ragionevoli. Credo non ne valga la pena... un vero peccato, credo restituirò.
