Complete Banneton Bread Proofing Basket Set - 9" Round & 10" Oval Baskets

Made my very first sourdough loaf. I only used a couple of items from this kit. The price can’t be beat. Happy with the kit!

I have made sourdough bread in the past, but I have never used all of these latest "gadgets." I didn't see any Kraft Gift Box in my package, so I can't say what that was for. I have never used the Bannetons before so this was a new experience for me. Because I had read up on how to use these, I understood that they need to be seasoned with a gluten free type of flour before they are used. I had rice flour, so I used that to season mine.I was pleased with the quality of all of the products. In looking at other people's reviews, it appears that some of them did not receive all of the products in their kits. I was very careful when unpacking mine and the only thing that I noticed was that the Kraft Gift Box was not included. I also didn't happen to see a QR code for the instruction manual PDF, but I contacted the company so I am hopeful that they will send me that.The stencils are cute, although I am not certain that I will used them for my bread, but I can use them with other things. I already had a Silicone Baking Mat, and those things are wonderful with the size guidelines on them and they clean up so easily. I really like the silicone hand brush. Just putting a bit of dish soap on it, it becomes a nice cleaning tool. The bread scoring lame and extra blades took a bit of getting used to, but once again, they are easy to use and I am so glad that there is a leather cover for the blades to keep from cutting fingers! The cotton bread bag is nice and so is the Danish Dough Whisk. I had wanted one of those for a while. They are a great tool for baking. The Bannetons make two nicely shaped breads for baking and teh metal scraper is what I use for cutting the dough into pieces. The plastic bowl scraper is nice to use for cleaning up the bowl.Overall, this is a great kit and it is priced fairly as well. I feel that some of the people who posted such negative comments either didn't take the time to try this or did not contact the company with any concerns that they had.I like the kit and I would recommend it for a gift or for yourself if you do sourdough baking for yourself.

I've ordered a few of these proofing kits and have problems getting them to actually arrive. Twice, the kits never arrived despite a tracking number (unassociated with an actual shipping company). In researching the companies, the merchandise was being shipped from China. I have no problem ordering merchandise made in China, but it's been a regular gamble when it comes to items shipping from China. I would recommend that buyers check to see where the kit you are ordering is shipping from before ordering.This kit actually arrived on time. I'm pleased with the quality of the kit's items. I've used it three times so far with two failures. I have to say, there should be directions in the kit. The banneton baskets must be seasoned with flour that does NOT contain ANY gluten, such as rice flour. Even low-gluten flour like rye will create a sticky mess when you attempt to proof your dough. You need to mist the basket with clear water and thoroughly cover the interior of the basket with the rice flour, and let it fully dry. Knowing this now, I think the kit is fantastic. Each of the item are well-constructed and durable. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is that the little leather sheath for the razor blade on the lame doesn't stay on. I sliced a good chunk of skin off my knuckles when I reached into the bag. I'd recommend storing the covered lame in a separate ziplock bag to prevent the sheath from inadvertently coming off in the storage bag.

This is an excellent bread proofing set for a new and more experienced baker and really does include the most important tools you'll need for bread making. A Danish dough whisk is essential when you’re working with low gluten wet doughs, the 2 styles of dough scraper are great, the bread lame is actually as good quality as a really expensive one I was bought last year,and the natural cloth bread bag will surely come in handy (little tip - can even be used to store flour in or as a grocery bag!).The quality of all components in this set is honestly fantastic, I've been sourdough bread making for a while so I have good experience of these things. Originally bought this for my daughter as an intro kit and have already bought a couple more for some friends who I know are a budding bakers

This was the perfect start up package for making sour dough. Everything you need to get started was included. The price point made it even better. I personally don't like spending a lot when trying something new, but would definitely purchased this again. I would honestly have paid more for it and felt the same. Highly recommend.

Just started making sourdough. Very good set for beginners!!

Started baking sourdough bread almost for fun. Then it became an obsession. After a while, the tools I had were not enough, so I needed a "proper" kit. This kit has everything I need. Two baskets for proofing, and they work exactly like I saw online: the dough doesn't stick, it's easy to manipulate, and transfers immediately. The whisk is fantastic and makes mixing so much easier. The scraper makes portioning and cleaning up a breeze. The bag for storage is a nice little addition. Didn't use the other tools yet, but so far the tools I have listed have already made baking my bread a much simpler task.

Had everything I needed to get started!

Like many people, I started to make my own sourdough during lockdown. I decided to treat myself to this set after a friend received a bread banneton as a gift and said it was a game changer. She was right! No more dough sticking to bowls or tea towels, it's so much easier in a proper banetton! The dough whisk, lame and dough scraper are really useful and the bread bag helps keep the loaf fresh. I've not used the other items yet but I still feel the set has been well worth the money for me, all the items feel really good quality. Would make a lovely gift for a keen bread maker :)

This is a great set for sourdough bread making. The blue mat came pretty folded up but flattened out in a couple of days. I now store it rolled, which works great. Love this set.

This was a learning experience for me as I just used the bannetons before and sprayed and dusted with flour. When I was finished and they were dry then scrubbed them down with a brush to remove the flour. This new method with the covers in the bannetons is much easier and a lot less work. It has everything in the set that is needed to bake sourdough bread. Glad I bought this set and would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn how to bake sourdough.
