Amazing Product & Exceptional Customer Service
I needed a solution to utilize my three screens with my laptop and I got more than I expected! This thing is amazing. I went with Plugable after doing tons of research and decided to use them because of their amazing customer service. I did have a small issue as the unit that I purchased was faulty out of the box and started screen glitching. I reached out to customer service instead of returning the device, they helped me within a couple of hours and had a new unit out the door THE SAME DAY, that had been tested in-house that has been working perfectly ever since. Their US based customer service was amazing and I would definitely buy more products from them. I'm also extremely happy with my purchase!

Excellent value for everyday use
Overall these work great, and are a great value. I'm an IT manager and I've purchased a few of these now for people to use as office docking stations for the MacBook Pro. Specifically these are being used with the M1 Pro 16" MacBook Pro and they work flawlessly*. It provides enough power that users don't have to plug in the Magsafe brick while they're in the office. It supports dual 1080p monitors, or one 1440p monitor for sure. You have to install a DisplayLink driver and software package to make it work with MacOS (windows too I think), which is typical of these devices. Now thanks to MacOS's privacy and security settings, it gives the user a constant status icon and occasional warning that their screen is being shared. I'm glad that feature is there, but sometimes users ask about it. *My only real complaint is that while the software works great under normal circumstances, MacOS updates will sometimes disable the auto-launch of the DisplayLink adapter software. I regularly get a call that the users' monitors aren't working because of this. I can't really blame this on the display software though. Launching the program and reactivating the auto-start in system settings is simple enough, but always confuses people. It's usually a good time for me to check that the DisplayLink software is up to date too. You can update the software from the resident app in the system tray, though it doesn't notify you of new updates. The driver also integrates with Apple Watch unlock, and has an f.lux feature that will optionally dim/color shift your external display at night. We're using it for 1Gbps ethernet, dual displays, power delivery, and a permanently attached Time Machine backup drive, and haven't had any trouble with connectivity for any of theses devices, nor any complaints about speed. Sometimes these types of docking stations can get kind of hot when you're making them work this hard, especially if you're using power delivery, but this Plugable model doesn't ever get above a mild fever.

Great for someone who knows nothing about setting up a workstation
Started working from home full time. I never setup my own 2-3 screens workstation before because I've been spoilt by IT dept in the buildings. I had to look up how and the cheapest way to do it and I hit jackpot when I chose this. It is plug and play. I bought 2 curved 27-inch monitors that were on sale. No issues with compatibility, fast speed in connectivity. At first I could only do 1 screen from the dock and the other had to be plugged into my laptop, until i discovered a button behind the screens that prompts me to choose which HDMI port -et voila! User error. This worked like a dream.

regularly fails to wake from sleep
TRASH DOES not work consistently. When my laptop wakes from sleep there's a 50-50 chance this device fails to initiate the additional displays and I have to restart my laptop to get the displays to work. Yes, reloaded drivers...... 3 times. NOT RELIABLE NO SUPPORT

Apple 13" MacBook Pro M1 2020 Laptop WORKS PERFECT!
I'm a nursing school student and I needed a lot of screen space because I have to research, reference and write papers simultaneously which is easier to do if I can see everything at once. I purchased a small single non-HD monitor to help and was using a j5 Create dongle to connect to the monitor, but still didn't have enough space. So I decided to make a significant upgrade and purchased a 27" 4k HD monitor from a local computer store and purchased another j5 Create dongle as they said it would work. So I plugged both dongles in, but unfortunately my laptop was incapable of running both monitors at the same time! I needed a "work around" since I found out that my M1 laptop is incapable of running two monitors at the same time so I researched my options and came across the DisplayLink software website and searched out where I could purchase the correct module, Amazon was the place! So, just a heads up, you can't simply download the software and try to run two j5 Creative dongles at the same time or even a single dongle from J5 Creative that has 2 or more HDMI inputs, it doesn't work that way. Also, people are freaked out when you install the software and it asks for permission to "RECORD YOUR SCREEN," well, the module and software need to do that because it's grabbing that info and sending it to to module with a super short delay that's virtually unnoticeable unless you decide to play video games, but I just need this for papers and such. Your computer isn't transmitting your screen data to DisplayLink, it's capturing your screen info, processing it and sending it to the module to do all the splitting and to do its thing. I purchased the cheaper module out of the three options as I'm running one 4k HD monitor and 21" SD monitor in addition to my laptop screen. So the end result is 3-screens, all with different desktop images, and you're NOT stuck with a "mirrored" screen, you get the true 3-screen experience! It works perfect with my laptop. I can also stream music videos from YouTube and watch them in 4k on the one monitor while running a bunch of programs at one time and moving from one monitor to the other and have no skips or weird things going on with the video. The only thing I think I could ding against this product is that if I try to run the video full screen on the 4k monitor it might lose some resolution, but considering how much work this software and module is doing, that's pretty amazing! I would highly recommend using this product if you're planning a setup like mine, but if you have two 4k HD monitors, you'll probably need to go to the second or 3rd more expensive optional modules to run those displays. I'm very happy with this purchase and it works perfect for my needs!

Excellent device, satisfied my needs nearly 100% for my work laptop.
This dock has worked flawlessly with my new desktop workstation that I needed for my job. I have a triple monitor setup, limited by the laptop only able to natively send signal to two displays. This device handles all the workload driving three monitors, and features 100W self powered functionality as well so that I can use a single USB-C cable to my laptop that both keeps it charged and passes signal. All ports work fine and I bought this unit in particular due to that fact that it had multiple USB-A ports on both the front and the back. The analog headphone jack is a little outdated and unnecessary - and my ONLY real complaint about the device is that I feel for the price at least one or two USB-C ports should have been included on the front. I use for example a USB-C dongle for my Logitech headset (as do many people) and it would have been nice to not have to use an adapter for the front ports. This is a great unit either way though - and I appreciated that Windows immediately found the driver and downloaded it in the background, no software installs on my end. I also use this with my Macbook Air - but in that case I did have to download software specifically to make this work and configure a few settings. Not really much of an issue but it wasn't seamless like with Windows. Granted my Macbook Air is also a 2020 model and is 6 years old. Rreally a fantastic dock - could it be a little cheaper? Yeah for sure ... I have rock solid functionality however I just wish there was at least a single USB-C port on the thing. I think in 2026 for the price that should have been included. USB-C is everywhere so to not include that on the dock is a bit weird.

works perfectly!
I have about 8 different adapters and hubs I've bought for my HP Spectre 360, which, when I bought it in 2019, was a trendsetter for having very few connection points (one USB 2.0 and 2 USB-Cs - come on!!!!). I need three large monitors to do my job effectively, and it's been really hard to find an adapter that a) allows 3 display connections, and b) works well. My latest one - a cheap Amazon purchase - didn't have a tight connection with my computer's USB-C input, and the USB 2.0 connections just stopped working after 6 months. When I went to purchase two new cheap adapters, both of the Display Port connections didn't work for my third monitor. So, I decided to bite the bullet and pay more for a legit hub - especially a hub that allows 3 HDMI connections, versus only 2 HDMIs and a Display Port connection. I'm happy to say that this Plugable hub worked right out of the box. (Okay, to be fair, I didn't follow the instructions and download the drivers BEFORE connecting the monitors, and the third monitor didn't work right away - but once I actually downloaded the driver, it connected seamlessly.) While I got this for the 3 HDMI connections, I also love that there are 4 USB 2.0 and 2 USB 3.0 connections. Between my microphone, speakers, mouse, keyboard, and camera, I have a lot of USBs to plug in, and this accommodates all of them, AND it charges my computer at the same time, so now I have 1 USB-C and 1 USB 2.0 open on my laptop. I'm impressed so far! I hope the quality continues throughout months and years of use.

Did not disappoint! Solid Dock for the Price
One of the most budget-friendly docks I found! The product works as described. The Docking Station comes with a USB-C cable to connect the laptop to the dock, and the power cord is long enough for use with taller or standing desks. Does the hob well and I'm happy with it!
