Good Product! Works like magic!
I used HydroThread on my cloth seats and floor mats, and wow — liquids bead right off like ceramic armor. Super easy to apply (just spray evenly), and it didn’t change the texture or color of the fabric at all. I let it cure overnight and tested it the next day — spilled water rolled off like it was on waxed paint. If you want to protect your car’s interior from stains without doing a full interior detail every week, this stuff is legit. Just don’t use it on leather — it’s fabric only. Highly recommend for anyone who actually cares about keeping their ride clean.

Works Well!
This spray-on ceramic fabric protector works well. I use it on my truck seats and have prevented dreaded coffee stains many times. Just spray it on, wipe it off, and allow it to dry.

Saved my shoes
Just fyi, this doesn’t make stuff water proof, but I think it does help repel liquid and prevent staining. I spilled some red steak juice all over my new creamy white, cloth Adidas which I had treated with HydroThread. I washed them immediately with a little dish soap and a toothbrush and all the red came out. I feel like without the Hydro Thread they would have been ruined. I’m still only giving it 4 stars because of the way this stuff is marketed. Anything cloth is still going to absorb liquid. And after watching some other reviews on YouTube, this doesn’t live up to its marketing.

Made My Black Cloth Seats Look New!
I have a 15-year-old MX5 convertible. I keep it in showroom condition. Immaculate without a blemish. Because I live in the desert, I prefer cloth seats to leather because leather are hard to live with in the summer heat. My cloth seats were in great condition. No aging. But they didn't have that "new" look to them. I'd been looking for something to do about it and was thinking of getting seat covers. I was at the auto store one day and there on the shelf was "Thread" by Chemical Guys. I LOVE Chemical Guys. I use their VRP product on my convertible soft top can couldn't be happier with it. So I grabbed a bottle of Thread. Did the application. Actually did 3 coats. My seats look TERRIFIC. Just what I was looking for. Now when I open my car door, my seats look showroom new too. I've seen a video on YouTube that questioned the waterproofing qualities of "Thread." I never spill anything on my seats so I am not worried about whether the product exceeds expectations on waterproofing. I was looking for something that returned my black cloth seats to that "new" look and I found exactly what I wanted with "Thread." I really love Chemical Guys.

Great on White Tesla Interiors
I used this product on the white seats and interior of my Tesla Y. It is easy to clean off dirt and dog prints. I just use a damp cloth to clean up marks and they all come off. The white upolstery is very nice.

Saved me from disaster
My canned beverage exploded when I opened it. Anything that hit my seats puddled and was easily wiped up - thanks chemicalguys. I'm satisfied enough to spend time and review this thing positively. This product is an aide to lessen damage on fabric surfaces from liquid, not some miracle product that you can spray and automatically stops everything like a plastic sheet. The instructions downplay it a bit, but you really have to evenly work this product in to be successful. Car fabric is porous, so the goal is to spread this product on the fabric and pores to ensure puddling. Some tips that worked for me..... 1) cover all non-targeted surfaces, cause it's gonna get everywhere 2) spray liberally on your car fabric and use a horsehair brush to work the product in. Concentrate on seams and stitching. Spray enough to cover everything, but not overly saturated so your seat looks wet. Spray some on the brush too and rub the product around your seat. When you think you covered it, do one more pass and this should count as one coat. Be meticulous on your seats and take it a section at a time. 3) let it dry completely, then complete another full pass *treat this like you are trying to cover not only the fabric, but to rub the product into the seams and pores, like painting some rough, unfinished wood. You need multiple passes to make sure you get it properly covered. As much as I emphasized to spray. I used 1/5 of the bottle on a compact SUV interior. 15/10. Will buy again.

I bought three of these to spray my patio cushions and the umbrella. The cushions would get soaking wet even after little rain before even though they were sold as resistant but I could not return them. This year I decided to try to try to make them water resistant myself using this spray. I followed instructions. I washed the cushion cases and had them dried. I generously applied the spray while also working the liquid into the fabric with a brush and spraying some more again. I did this with all sides and applied this to my umbrella too. While I was applying the thing seems to work beautifully. It itself appeared to just slide away. Everything was left to dry, set, for more than 24h without any use. When the first light rain came on I took one cushion only and the umbrella to test and put it as in the picture. Later that day, after the rain stopped for a few hours already, I went to check. I unzipped the cushion as it was heavier than when dry and saw the water stream out. Umbrella wasn't exactly wet but water droplets were all over the place, klinging to it, even though it was not undeployed (i.e. as in the photo). Note the pouring water from the cushion that was partially protected from rain by the table. I stopped recording before it all came out. This product does not protect patio furniture from even the lightest rain. I wasted money and my time on it.

I have used this on my new sofa set after trying on a hidden test spot and found it was really good at protecting it so I did the whole set. While i was spraying the set I got some on my fingers and I had to wash my hands many times in order to get water and soap to stick. The water would just roll off my hand and what stuck was just a couple beads. Another great product Chemical Guys

This is an amazing product. I sprayed in on all my new shoes with 2-3 coats over over a few days. When I wore 2 different ones during the winter, I have no issues with water seeping into my shoes, it also keeps my red fabric shoes from staining, which is awesome. We also got one of those squishy mats for standing in 1 spot, and that now repels water and stains in the kitchen. Mat feels dry after wiping off the water. Did 2 coats an hour apart. I'd recommend this for the car and his your home too. Make sure to use a brush and wear gloves when applying it. :)
