Perfect for the little ones
My wife wanted a stool where our first born could climb on and either help or see what she was doing. The build was easy and not time consuming. As our first born grew this still supported their weight. It’s been about 3 years and we use the same still with our second child. It is a perfect purchase and worthy every penny.

New version is much better
June 2021 update:2 months later their new model was ready to ship and I received it, after providing a different address, as they could not/would not ship to my old address.I assembled the tower and I noticed 2 changes, the added brace (#17), which I am not sure is needed (I believe this part is the one to use the 2 longer screws included, but the instructions do not mention there being 2 different types of screws, just one type of screw or a bolt). However I believe that added braces under the main step (#11) are a great improvement and are why this step arrived unbroken. I think this was the needed change. With this change to a critical part I believe this stool will be a better purchase.Unfortunately I did still have a few screws that I will have to use glue for to hold because they just spin in place, because too much was drilled out for the pilot holes. All in all we are happy with both stools and so I decided 4 stars was ok but there is a level of difficulty because of the prep on their end and the less than perfect instructions. But in the end with a bit of extra work, you will have a good final product your kid can enjoy. But the first version required I have wood glue, clamps and a drill to correct things, the new version did not require much extra.April 2021 update:The seller contacted me after the following review and let me know they would like to make things right. They will soon be releasing a new version of this and told they would be shipping me one shortly. I have temporarily updated my review from 1 to 3 stars as an act of good faith and will update again when I receive the new version. If i were in the market currently i would wait to purchase it his till a new version is available.Original review:The quality of this product is poor with parts split/cracked from the box and others doing so when hand tightened and the tolerances are also poor as things don't line up. Expect to use a drill, wood glue and clamps to assemble and fix along the way. With the main step, where your child stands (the whole point of this product) split down the middle and un-useable without wood glue and clamping it back together.

Works great with a couple small additions
My 2yr old loves this! It was easy to assemble, and is sturdy enough to hold me. The bar that closes off the step is kinda useless as it is the first think my toddler removed and starts swinging around. She has not needed it so we stopped using it.We did add a couple of things to make it even better. 1) non-slip grip tape to the step and standing surface. We noticed the bamboo is slippery when wearing socks or PJ onesie, so we added grip tape for safety. We got the tape off Amazon that has a glow in the dark strip to show the edge of the step.2) we screwed a whiteboard to the front for added functionality. Our 2yr old loves to be in the kitchen whenever we are and will try to open the drawers and cabinets, play with things on the counter, etc. I took the measurements of the front and found a white board that fit perfectly. She can now color when we are doing the dishes or are doing something she can not help with.

Surprisingly good
As others mentioned, you may come across one or two pieces where the predrilled holes do not line up with the mating part. I had one piece that required significant filing to line up the holes. I may have been able to start the screw on an angle but did not want to chance splitting the wood. Other than that one piece, the rest of the assemble was pretty easy. It is lightweight but seems very stable and solid. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.

My great grandaughter loves this stool
Got this as a Christmas gift for my nearly 2-year-old great granddaughter. She loves it and now she can stand next to mommy and "help her cook". And she loves to wash her hands in the big girl sink lol. She squeals with joy and excitement every time her parents pull it up to the sink or counter for her. easy to put together and comes with the tools needed. Now have to find little girl mixing bowls etc. for her Birthday

Quality is not good
I want to start by saying there is a provided email by the company that came with the instructions, I emailed them but no response. I received it with two splits in two different pieces of wood. Since it’s assembled and out the box it would be extremely hard to return, so I’m dissatisfied with the quality. I would like to see the seller make it right, because I know this could be good. I had bought one a long time ago that was great, not sure why there were multiple broken.

3 inch gap, stripped screws
I like the look of this stool. Several screws stripped and did not tighten. The holes were too big. I placed some tooth picks in the hole to help tighten them. I am most concerned about the 3 inch gap that is between the platform and the cabinet that toes or feet can fall into causing injury. The top of the stool does not fit under or above a standard counter. It hits right at the counter top. not allowing the stool to fit flush to the cabinet. I may modify it by shortening the top rails and drilling new holes, but I'd rather not. A previous review indicated that a new part has been added to fix this situation, but it was not included with my purchase.
