C.S.Osborne & Co. No. 417 - Tufting Needle (MPN # 64386)

Works as intended.

Button popped off of my brand new tufted sofa. As it was quite expensive I really wanted it repaired properly and after some googling found out that this is the exact tool I would need to the job. This needle with the 418 clasps and some upholstery twine and you can’t tell at all that it has been repaired. Took me less than two minutes to use. It’s a great investment if you have a lot of tufted furniture because it’s likely to be needed multiple times. I couldn’t find this tool at any sewing shops around me, but Amazon delivered it in one day.

Was able to repair a popped tufted button on my couch using this and YouTube. Glad to have it—price seems high for what it is, but all things considered, cheaper than a professional repair visit.

Two of our leather buttons came loose from our ottoman. We thought it could be expensive to have a professional upholsterer do it. We ordered the tool, went to YouTube and followed the instructions. We were glad we also bought the waxed twine it seemed to knot easily. Fantastic. There are 24 buttons on this ottoman. We still allow the “culprits” into our home, they are four and six and like to jump, so we may have refastening loose buttons in our future.

It works as expected. I only needed it for one button so it was an expensive fix.

I wish I could give zero stars. The needle broke after one use, into our couch. Contacted SELLER customer service and they essentially said it wasn’t their problem and that this is “the first time it’s ever happened”. Hard to believe when there’s another review stating that theirs broke after one use also.EDIT: Contacted C.S. Osborne & Co directly and they were incredibly helpful and sent us a replacement.

So very simple! My leather couch has tufted NON-removable cushions. When a bottom popped off I was picturing a big bill for an upholsterer to come and repair it. I watched a YouTube video before ordering and the process was just as easy as it looked. Very the syringe and not a plain tufting needle - I was done in less than 5 minutes !

I’ll admit I was nervous when I first saw some of the reviews, but fortunately... the product that I received was fine!As you can see from my photos, I was able to fix the button that fell out of my tufted sofa.
