Wooden Alarm Clock Radio(Brown)

I have had a number of alarm clock radios - all have failed in some significant way (like the one I had that selected the days it wanted to go off, you never knew if it was going to wake you or not! Lol). But this one is brilliant! Positives 1. Brightness. I have the brightness set to minimum. This means that in the day time you can barely make out the numbers but at night it is of a level that is easy to read without keeping you awake. 2. Colour. The colour of the light is a warm mellow yellow which is so much more relaxing than some I have had with their ‘keep you awake’ blue or green displays. 3. Controls. I am someone who hates complex control interfaces. This one is simplicity itself. The huge snooze button on top is easy to ht if snoozing is needed and the rest of the time it is also the change of brightness button. So in day time if you want to read the time, just press it a coupe of times to go from max dim, to off, to max bright. Simples. Likewise if you want to listen to the radio during the day, the appropriate button is clearly marked. 4. Charging. The induction charging for the phone is again simplicity itself. Just lay the phone on top. There is a ridge at the front edge to make accurate positioning of the phone a doddle. 5. Wood. The wood effect of the alarm is very good and the whole device is unobtrusive, dare I say, even elegant sitting there on the bedside table. Negatives. 1. Sound quality. I have had better sounding radios but, and I stress this, I have had significantly worse sounding ones too. Overall the sound is reasonably crisp with reasonable high and low notes. Whilst it might not win any awards against your hifi, it is perfectly acceptable as a radio alarm. 2. The ease of use of the controls also means that it is easy to hit one by mistake. Most frequently, the brightness (snooze) button whilst going for your phone that is busy charging on top. This is being very picky though and is not enough of an issue to move the product from a five star rating. Overall I rate this alarm/radio very highly, by far and away the best I have ever had.

Everything works as it should, looks really stylish and the display dimmer is great, my old clock radios display was too bright, felt like I was trying to sleep in a lighthouse.

Time display is clear and also adjustable in brightness. It’s easy to use and the mag charger works well. The quality is reasonable, but the internal speaker is average, so it’s fine for listening to music at moderate volumes, just don’t use it for blasting out rage against the machine!

A great looking, good quality alarm clock. It's so easy to use with decent buttons and larger printed symbols so even I don't need glasses on to see what they are!! I particularly like that the display is large and that you can dim it at night so it's not as bright as during the day - a great option that we've never had before. Would recommend this product.

This is a great product. The features I use are: 1) Bluetooth speaker- not a massive sound but perfectly adequate for a bedside speaker. 2) Wireless charging- it charges my iPhone pretty quickly through the case I use. 3) To see what the time is at night. Nice clear display which you can adjust the brightness of. This means you can set it so you can barely see the time during the day but very clearly at night. Makes the clock look more attractive during the day, I think. I haven’t used the radio or alarm function as I just use my phone for these. Overall, I really like this- it’s a great option for the money and looks good too.

Top Quality, value for money

The wireless charging feature works well. The alarm clock is easy to set up. The radio however is hard to get a decent signal on, tried everything and still comes out with distortion. Also wish there was better alarm sounds. But overall does the job, gets me up in the morning and charges my phone.

I can’t really fault this to be honest. I’ve used the radio feature a few times, but I bought this more for it’s wireless charging feature (which works perfectly) and its loud alarm. Only issue with the radio feature is that the antenna is basically a metre length of wire - which is fine if you’re planning on putting it against a wall or somewhere where you don’t need to access anything behind the clock, but less so if you do. You’d probably need to tape the wire to a wall and obviously it’ll get in the way if you’ve got to have it trailing around. However, I’ve got the wire coiled up neatly and tucked behind and the radio still works and sounds fine. I’d definitely recommend if you’re looking for a nice looking digital alarm clock - if you’re planning on using the radio function, make sure you find somewhere to put it first, where you can attach the wire properly.

Easy to programme. Tone is a bit on the lower end needs slightly more treble, no tone adjustment. Apart from that really nice little unit. Does what it says.

No indication in ad description that it was supplied with a uk plug. Have to buy an adapter.
