Used these, brand new, on a 7 day river trip and they were phenomenal. So comfortable, kept me warm, dried out quickly, velcro stuck well. I am super, super impressed with these and actually opt to wear them in the summers with my hiking sandals sometimes still for water crossings, they are that comfortable!

Suit my needs so far
I use these for playing sand volleyball when it's cold outside, so I *should've* bought a pair that went higher-up than my ankles to avoid getting sand in them -- that's my fault. Still, they don't allow a ton of sand in and keep my feet warmer than they'd be otherwise. They're holding up well so far and are quite comfortable. I did read other reviews for sizing recommendations.

Feel great, look good, check foot size
I have not used these yet. They appear to be made well. I will use them with my fins, not as sand shoes. These appear to be great for snorkeling and diving. I do not think any neoprene booty should be used as athletic foot ware, so sure they probably would wear out as all neoprene footwear will! Sizing; I am an solid 8.5 and ordered a medium and sent them back for a large. Measure the bottom of your feet. I did not do that the first time. The large was perfect for my foot. I like these and believe they will be great for diving and snorkeling. Light walking on these will be okay too. The bottoms look like they can take some wear.

Love them!
I bought these to play sand volleyball in the winter time when the sand gets really cold. They fit great and my feet stay warm. Highly recommend!

Great for my cold plunge
I got these because my toes were experiencing a lot of pain when the temp in my cold plunge got down to 32* during winter months. They are easy to put on/off and keep my toes warm so I can stay in longer now. These have been a great purchase for this use. I like the grip on the bottom too.

The size of the socks runs small
The socks seem to be well made. The ad for the socks show a table showing how the S/M/L stack up to sizes. I normally wear 7 1/2 or 8, depending on the shoe. To be safe, I chose L, which the table shows as 8-9 sizes. The socks fit tight. After wearing them for about 1 hour I had to take them off because the tightness became uncomfortable. Not planning on wearing them for more than 45 minutes of play, so they might be ok. I'm afraid to swap for an XL (10-11) as that seems too big.

Sizing help
In Vivobarefoot shoes I wear a men's size 12, EU size 45. I like a big toe box. When I ordered these socks, I was confused by the sizing. I stood on a piece of paper, traced each foot, and then measured heel to toe. The measurement was slightly less than 11", which according to the sizing chart would be XL. However, XL says men's size 11 and XXL says men's size 12. I ordered XL and XXL. The XL fits well as a sock. The XXL fits more like a shoe with 1/2" of room for my toes. But you want these tight to your skin, so XXL is too large for me. My recommendation is to do what the sizing chart suggests. Ignore the shoe sizes and use the length measurement of your foot.I have not tried the socks in the water yet. However, the dots on the bottom of the socks are very slippery. They are so slippery it is hard to walk on a hardwood floor. To me these are definitely socks, not shoes.
