LOVE the Thomas Design; Material is NOT the greatest
Images appear to be screen printed/painted on. Before washing the underwear, it felt really crusty. After going through the wash, they softened up. I also bought the Cars design; those were similar except the images on the Cars underwear stayed a little stiff after washing. SO depending on how much paint they put on the underwear, these may or may not soften all the way. Both are Handcraft brand. My son just started wearing 2T pants. I bought 4T underwear because I read from the other reviews that these run small. And I am thankful that I did. The elastic waist band fits perfectly. Right now, the leg holes are a little big and the butt is a little baggy, but he will easily grow into them. My son LOVES the Thomas design.

A tad snug.
I bought the 2T undies for my kiddo who is consistently wearing 2T clothing. I had so much trouble finding undies small enough for his tiny bottom that I didn't buy a size up, like I usually do. I kind of wish I had. I was warned by other reviewers that these run a little small, which is true. These fit him just about right and are maybe a tad snug around the legs. If I'd bought 3T, I'd know we could get some future wear out of them. My only complaint is that the elastic is poor quality and a little stiff. I imagine that it doesn't feel good to have stiff, scratchy elastic around the inside of his thighs, though I haven't seen any signs of chafing. He loves the pattern and often wants to get them out of his drawer to look at the trains. It's hard to deny how cute little boys in undies are.

Thomas Briefs: Blue Mountain Quarry
UPDATE April 19: I lowered the rating on these to two stars. The inside flap is not as wide as the underwear from this brand used to be, and that causes some issues for my son. First, the rib-knit trim rubs on him uncomfortably. Second, there is less overlap of front and back flaps, so he is constantly trying to cover his "pepper," as it seems to pop out between the flaps. Annoying? Hell yes. It makes Mayhem miserable. I'm having to run a couple of stitches to secure the flaps to each other on all fourteen new pairs of Thomas underwear he owns. That doesn't solve the chafing issue, though, and Mayhem is already attached to these undies because of Thomas. I'm really perturbed and I do NOT recommend this item. I will attempt to post pics so you can see the difference between an old pair and a new pair from this maker.OLD REVIEW: As the Thomas briefs we bought for Mayhem in the store, these wear well and don't seem to bag and sag, or chafe and bind our little monster. He's a Thomas FREAK, so "big boy pants" with Thomas printed on them make convincing him to get dressed a little easier. These were certainly more affordable, too, than the $20 plus tax at the department store. Mayhem has sensitive skin (yeah, the tyrant has his soft side), so I washed the briefs twice before letting him wear them, because these are printed and come saturated in sizing, just like other character underwear. NBD. They washed up well and he loves them so much, I have had to stop him showing his Thomas-emblazoned behind to people. It's a story I am sure to remember and bring up at a strategic future moment...

I love the fact that I receive a variety of these ...
I received 7 of these lovely briefs niceIy packaged. I love the fact that I receive a variety of these briefs. My son 24 months and is on the smaller side so I choose to buy the 2t/3t. I really like the fit. They look and feel as if these are here to stay until my son out grows them.

Different print than pictures and lower quality than same print set from box store
What I received is a completely different 7 pack set than what is pictured here. Instead, it was the same 7 pack of prints I purchased in size 2/3T a year ago, making it way harder to sort old sizes out and boring because my son will be wearing the EXACT SAME design. They also appear to be a much poorer quality and crummier print job than our other ones (even after a year of being washed). We needed these so I didn't return them, but had I known what I was going to be getting I would have never ordered them to begin.

Great for our son while potty training
My son loves Thomas the Train Engine and we bought these as we started to potty train him. We told him he couldn't pee or poop in his special Thomas underwear. We've had a fairly easy time with his transition from diapers to underwear. I can't claim the underwear are the reason he's done so well potty training but picking them out and wearing them has been a highlight for him during this potty journey.

Undies!!
I was well aware of the sizing running small from the reviews online so I bought a size up (4t) for my 3 yr old. It fits just right and he is quite thin and long. I'm not sure if it would be comfortable for an actually 4yr old or older. Even if he was a little heavier at his age they might squeeze at the waist. Otherwise he Loves them and as long as you order a size up it should work out fine.

They fit like a 2 or a 3
My son loves these but they do run a little small. He's a talk and skinny 38 pounds. His waist is a size 3T pants, his length is a size 5 or 6, we usually by size 4 clothing for him and expect it to be a little baggy and short . These underwear fit him but are snug. They fit like a 2 or a 3, not a 4.
