Grabbed my ruler and a container and here's what I got: 7.7 x 5.3 x 1.3 (inches) It matches what I see in the listing, in the photos.

Can you place the frozen meal directly into the microwave or do you have to thaw the meal first?

I put it right in the microwave but only used Defrost settings to start because I believe that is the best way to insure you have thawed and heated properly!
