So, As I Brew . . .
. . . a single serve cup, I must share my experience with you. I have had versions of this Cuisinart for five or six years now, started with the Keurig but the things kept failing and I grew tired of returning them - they spent more time in a return box than on my countertop, done with that! Found this and immediately grew to like it. Dependable, for the most part, aesthetically pleasing to the eye, compact, yah, nice fit for me. I quickly found out that no matter how functional they are, these are time limited - not grannies 50-75 year heirloom coffee pots, those days are long over. Had two of these spanning five to six years but eventually they give up. If I do the math correctly, if purchased one for an average of 2 years for $80.00, that means that 365x2=730 days. $80.00/730=rounded to 11 cents per day. Now I consider this a win considering the throw away appliances that are sold to us. Having said that, this third one from Cuisinart came to me defective. Quickly, the push to ON/OFF switch pressed on but did not spring back so that I could push to off, poor QC at the factory. Sent it back through Amazon's wonderful return policy, got refunded, and quickly ordered another as a replacement, works just fine. Here is your takeaway: set the thing up when it arrives, and immediately put it through it's paces - stress test it. Run vinegar through it, cycle it then with clean water to flush over, and over, and over again. Make sure all the features work, don't wait to the last minute. The thing works just fine now. Will it break tomorrow, God only knows but finally, 5Gold because I really like it, good luck!

Quiet and efficient
Impressed. I use this in my office and it’s very quiet. I only wish that the tray was adjustable for different cup sizes as coffee splatters out when it’s dispensing.

Just because it says Cruisinat on the machine does not mean it's a good quality
This is the second cruisinert coffee maker. I purchased their first one was the bigger ful size one which stopped working after about twelve months. It kept telling me to reset it, which I was not able to do called customer service, and they were going to charge me a hefty price for resetting it. I then decided to purchase this one which it's very loud when brewing, especially when finishing but I could have put up with that. But now, after several months of using it, it's leaking, it's very cheaply made for the price they charge and for the name on the machine. So i'm done with this brand obviously High price cheaply made

Nice size for just a couple cups of coffee.
I have a larger Cusinart coffee maker at home and love it so much that I bought the smaller version for when I visit my daughter (she has a different kind of coffee maker that I don’t love). With Cuisinart there is no waiting for the water to heat up, it is instantaneous. I love that feature. K-cup machines are simple and easy to use, are easy to clean and provide the right amount of coffee with a choice of ounce settings.

Leaking….
I really like this coffee maker and it worked well for quite a while, but it is now leaking. It seems the little rubber washer at the bottom of the reservoir no longer seats properly. Has anyone come up with a fix?

I might just stop working one morning
Nice and compact, I received this product as a gift about 2 years ago. One day it just quit working. I did the trouble shooting thing that the manufacturer recommended and It worked off and on for several more months until it just stopped working all together. I liked the way it made coffee so I bought the identical one again. Lets hope it lasts and little longer this time.

Leaks
Extremely disappointed that it leaks a month after purchase. Will be returning today. Follow-up: Unfortunately I am a few days outside of the return window so I have to work directly with Cuisinart. Follow-up 2: While Cuisinart did reply promptly to my inquiry, I purchased a replacement coffeemaker right away since I had no idea how long I would be without one. (Yes, another Cuisinart since I never had issues with their other appliances and this machine came highly recommended) I haven't gotten as far as an approval but I was told Cuisinart cannot refund money, only replace the machine. I don't need another coffeemaker so I just went back to Amazon about a refund. Sigh. Follow-up FINAL: I just chatted with a most helpful Amazon Customer Service Rep about returning the machine to Amazon. I am revising this to 3 stars since the machine is still defective but 2 stars to Amazon Customer Service!

NICE LOOKING / COUNTER SPACE SAVER / HOT CUP OF COFFEE
I bought this over a similar Keurig because it is a machine that takes up less counter space. As opposed to my old Brewville, there are no real bells and whistles just the power and one of three cup sizes. I mad a cup and the coffee is good and hot It is fast and very quiet. I like the rear mounted reservoir which helps keep the width about 2 - 3" narrower than the equivalent Keurig. Like ALL machines with hot water on demand (no wait brewing) turn off when done. Leaving the machine on will keep water hot when you want it but will accelerate calcification. My expensive Brewville went into the dumpster because of this and it was no longer supported. So my advise is every 2 weeks, do a white vinegar flush and keep it off unless you are ready to use. 2 Years Later: Still working as it did when it was new. However, during the past 2 years I noticed a few little issues. Occasionally (not very often), the coffee maker would lock up and nothing works. It has to be allowed to site with the unit unplugged for about 1/2 hour to allow it to reset. The tank could be a bit larger since after brewing two cups, the reservoir is empty. It does not brew as fast as my previous brewer. It could use one more size option aside from 7,10 & 12 oz. Otherwise if you are not a heavy duty user, this is ideal. If you entertain, get this coffee makers bigger brother. 3 years later, still going strong. I use various brands of K Cups and never had one that wouldn't brew in this machine. (6?29/2020)
