Amazing value for money. Would absolutely recommend!
Learnt to play guitar aged 10, that was 50 years ago, but never being a guitar virtuoso I resorted to playing bass in various bands over the years. Now aged 60 and with the band days behind me I saw this on Amazon and thought I might give the guitar another go. I'm glad I did, the guitar is amazing, looks great, feels great and sound great. Not sure what defines this as a beginners guitar, I'm sure a semi-pro could gig with this guitar easily! I also purchased the Boss RC-500 Dual-Track Loop Station, a couple of cheap pedals, dragged out one of my old bass amps and well. who needs a band! The only slight issue was a buzz on the low E string 5th fret, which was resolved by loosening the truss rod slightly and adjusting the height of the bridge. So you probably need to be prepared to do some setting up, but that said I think it incredible that you can buy a guitar that looks and feels so good for such a low price. Amazing value for money. Would absolutely recommend.

Donner Does It Again!!
This is my fourth Donner musical instrument purchase, three electric guitars and one 88 key electric piano and, as with all my previous purchases, it never fails to impress. Packaged solidly with an outer box, a shaped inner box, foam padding, and the guitar enclosed in its padded gig bag. A really nice touch was the styrofoam block protecting the 3 way switch. The finish was excellent and the binding faultless with no marks or blemishes. Frets were smooth as was the neck with no sign of any roughness with the fret ends. The fingerboard was clean and smooth. All the controls (Volume, Tone, 3 Way Switch) worked perfectly and smoothly. Accessories included are a really excellent cable, a strap, spare strings, and an Allen key. After tuning the guitar, I checked the string height with my Donner gauge and it was 2mm at the 12th fret. Intonation was perfect except for it being slightly out on the bottom E string, but that was easily corrected. So, after a few minutes, the guitar was set up and ready to go. The twin humbuckers sounded just as one would expect with a mellow tone on the neck pickup and a nice hard biting tone on the bridge pickup. A definite recommendation for this truly excellent guitar from Donner. Just a note to potential buyers in the UK. The bulk of online reviews seem to emanate from the USA and Canada. Now there does seem to be an issue with the way the distribution companies over the pond store and transport musical instruments, nothing at all to do with Donner itself. I haven't experienced any issues over here in England.

good for price
As a Guitar luthier, I wanted to try the Donner LP in Sunburst is a popular, budget-friendly beginner, guitar included accessories are a, gig bag, strap and cable maybe not the best of quality but it gets the job done. Quality control is hit-or-miss as the one I received had sharp frets so sharp that it left scratch marks on my hand and the pickups were not to my taste but that is easy rectified. The one I got has a body, neck, and finish that were in very excellent quality but it definitely is in need of a good setup with high action and fret buzz, and the stock strings definitely need to be changed for best performance. All that said, it's a solid starting point for learning, offering good looks and decent body and neck woods for its low price, ideal for beginners (IF PROPERLY SET UP), or as a modding platform, and a satin neck finish is key for a comfortable playing feel to me. Overall I think it's not bad for the price and would like to try out the other models in the range. Thank you.

Quality purchase for the price.
Over the moon with this guitar, played straight out of the box. A little dressing of the frets and very slight intonation adjustment, perfect action. Suitable for beginners and seasoned musicians alike. Purchased along with RockJam RJ20WAR2 20 Watt practice amp and LEKATO Reverb Pedal. Thank you reviews for helping me decide to make this purchase, would recommend.

Fantastic bit of kit with a great bag and lead.
What can I say about this guitar? It looks stunning the weight is spot on. The quality is pretty damn good considering it's a budget beginner. Great sound and I imagine a bit of tweeking and it would be an absolute game changer. I watched all the vids on you tube and it received very good feedback. As a Les Paul copy it suits me fine for what I use it for. Deffo recommend for an avid beginner.

Nice Guitar, shame about some of the build quality
Picked this up based on some reviews and wanting to get a LP copy after years of having telecaster-style guitars. It looks the part, the sunburst is attractive and it generally feels nice to hold and play. The action isn't bad for an out-the box, entry-level guitar and the strings are surprisingly decent too - I'll be replacing them sooner rather than later but I've been quite happy noodling on this for the past couple of days since it arrived. Pickups lack some power and it's a little tricky to get a treble tone that's clean rather than tinny, but I put that down more to my rattly old amp than anything. Issues start to arise on closer inspection though. Out the box, I noticed a minor bit of fret-buzz on the D string, and after taking a proper look there's a minor case of back-bow on the neck. It's not a massive issue and something I'll fix when I restring it, but it doesn't bode well for long-term use to already see performance issues from misalignment. A far bigger issue regards the jack, which is set up in such a way that it resists the lead and actively pushes it out. The second photo shows the gap - almost small enough to miss, but enough to disconnect the guitar entirely from the amp. I am going to have to open it up and fiddle with it myself to see if I can loosen it - not something I wanted to have to do two days after purchase, as a big reason for buying a new guitar was the jack on my trusty old Yamaha disintegrating after years of being shaken about. I figured it was about time for a new model, so it's frustrating to have jack connection issues from the get-go. Lastly, a minor gripe, but the rhythm/treble indicator plate is misaligned with the switch. A very simple cosmetic issue, but one that I think indicates a lack of overall care and attention to detail. These are all simple fixes. The problem is that these guitars and their price point are attractive to novices and first-timers as well as cheapskates like me who know how to make the most of a cheap product. I would wager that a few people have been left disappointed, or ended up spending the difference between this and an actual beginner Les Paul taking it to a specialist to fix for them. It's still well worth getting for the price, with a gig bag, a decent strap and a pleasantly sturdy cable included for less than ÂŁ140 at the time of writing. It's a bargain if you know a thing or two about guitar maintenance. A bit of perserverance and I can see this being useful for everything from practice to live performances. But new players or those less confident tinkering with their axe may want to bite the bullet and save for a real Les Paul.

Bra men kräver lite arbete
