Review: A Good Current Edition - I have acquired two books focused on the subject of metal detecting, this is one. Like another reviewer said- it's not a bible, but it's pretty darned good. The second edition is from 2023, the most recent and current on the subject that I could find. The other book I bought, Metal Detecting, also available from desertcart, is from 2016, which is this book's first edition's date. Both are good books, some content varies, some very similar, but my takeaway is a reinforcement of essentials, with refinements in both, The Metal Detecting Bible is more valuable from a timeline perspective of information. I had the Minelab Vanquish 540 recommended to me, and NOW it's my machine. A far newer system than an old Garrett I used for work many years ago, so I felt like I needed some educational assistance to catch up with my new hobby.

I have acquired two books focused on the subject of metal detecting, this is one. Like another reviewer said- it's not a bible, but it's pretty darned good. The second edition is from 2023, the most recent and current on the subject that I could find. The other book I bought, Metal Detecting, also available from Amazon, is from 2016, which is this book's first edition's date.
