OttLite 4-Inch Hands-Free LED Magnifier, White

I am so happy to have found this. it works perfectly for knitting, crocheting and manicures. It is such a simple design yet it works so well. Lightweight, doesn’t get in way of work. Game changer. I can now knit and crochet with black yarn.

This light /magnifier combination is exactly what I needed for doing needlepoint in the evenings. I hadn't been sure if it would stay in place propped against my chest, but the feet on it stabilize it perfectly. The light is bright enough for work but not distracting to my family while watching TV. Unlike others who have commented, the insert high-magnification is not in the way for me during use. I hope the batteries will last a while, but AAA batteries are easy to get. I'm very glad I bought this! Thank you to Ottlite.

Works fine. I wish the light was a little stronger, so I could work in the dark while my family watches tv, but they will have to tolerate watching tv with the light on, and I use this to make it brighter, magnified, and easier to do my work.

This product makes a big improvement in my evenings, because I can actually SEE what I'm doing now. It's lightweight, with good illumination for my work. The only thing I don't like so much is the higher-power magnification zone, which is a very small circle at the bottom of the overall magnifier. It's not big enough to actually provide any useful assistance; I can't see a big enough area of my work to make it worth using. Overall, though, this is a great tool.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this light and magnifier, so why only 3 stars? The string that holds it up. This thing moves about quite a bit, and if a gooseneck was provided instead of string, I think it would be perfect. It is useful, it helps me see patterns for embroidery, the big strike is the comfort/stability of it. I'm keeping it, I'll continue to use it, but my goal is to eventually get a free-standing Ott magnifying lamp.

Similar to other OttLite products: sturdy, well-made. It's a little heavier than I expected but otherwise it's fine. I don't use the light much, so can't rate battery life.

I do a lot of hand stitching and needed some magnification to help me do the smaller stitches. I have a variety of Ott's lamps that are great but don't magnify. When I saw this, I had to give it a try I liked it so much that I bought one for my sister and she loves it too! It is easy to set at the angle needed and the little lights on it shine just in the right place. Lightweight, good magnifier w/lights, easy to use. I am very satisfied with this purchase!

I had another brand that I bought at a local store. It was a little too small and it required very expensive replacement batteries. For these reasons, I bought this one, assuming an OttLite product would be good. This uses standard batteries, keeping my costs down. The light is nice and bright and the viewing area is just the right size for my cross stitch projects. Highly recommended!

Wasn’t quite sure when I first got this item but after taking it away with me found if fabulous to use could manage to my sewing. Am very happy with this product

I love this, perfect for my cross stitch which was getting harder to do. Would highly recommend it. Love the handy portable one you get with it too.
