This was the very product my doctor used to wrap my ankle when it was severely sprained. His were $125, out of date by three years and rather dry. Had I known better I would have straightened that medical problem out at the time - alas I did not. He said to keep it wrapped for two weeks, but after three days struggling to keep it dry and living with the stink, I sent for these. What a difference. These are very moist and easy to apply. DO NOT wrap tightly and use scissors to cut halfway through when curving over the heel and foot. That makes this bandage lay flat and that is exactly what you want - no wrinkles! After applying wrap with an elasticon-type bandage (horse owners will know what I mean) don't use compression-type bandagesa to cover. The key is that the calamine acts as a sweat and reduces the swelling. It is essential to elevate above your chest and walk in a boot or use crutches for a while. This product works well and has a long shelf life. Just not a decade like my doctor.
