Brush up and relearn excel

This is a great book. Where I work we use Excel extensively. I am giving the book a 4 star because the CONCATENATE function is one of the functions we use a lot and was not fully explained in great detail. I also noticed that there were not a lot of sample formulas provided to show how they are written to give you a better idea when you are writing certain formulas for the first time. However, there are books based on just Excel formulas. I will get one because I need to know how to reference certain fields from different worksheets back to the worksheet I am working on. The book is a good buy, though. Well written. I just have those couple feed backs.

I work at a college and found the Step by Step book to be the best!! This book is for the novice to a more advanced person. I love how you captures all levels of the person seeking additional skills. Computer training will never go away so it would help if you could keep them in stock. We had a little hiccup in the fall of 2018 so I hope everything has been rectified. At any rate, if you are pursuing additional computer skills then this book is for you!!

Great intermediate book to improve your skills. Overall, it's a comprehensive guide. If you never touched Excel and you're looking to get to know the program, you should look for another book. There are complex or intricate functions in this book, but if you're looking strictly for expert functions, you should look elsewhere.The pictures in this book are clear and it's really easy to follow the steps. The book also gives you alternative methods so you know all the shortcuts.

Open up some ideas for me to use Excel 2016. Thought the way to perform many of the Excel Function using the data that comes with the book could have been much clearer and better to use.

The book helped step me through some features. I found myself returning to the web to see just exactly how to get to a particular menu item. I also had to look on the web to find more in depth explanation of features like VLookup.

I got this e-book for a class and it was hard to navigate via e-book format. There isn't much visuals and the page layout is difficult to read. I have some excel experience so I was able to tolerate it but I wouldn't recommend the e-book to students who are impatient and have short attention spans.

Not worth the money. The information not clear. Had to google for the extra.

Es un muy buen libro para aprender Excel. Si bien el libro no es muy profundo me parece una panorámica muy buena y contiene las funcionalidades más importantes.

Awsome, brand new. I brought it for my brother since he needed it, but this vendor is legit. (The dog ate it though. :/)

Purchased this as a refresher

First thing first, the book is not colored as you might expect. As usual, with all the high-priced US edition books, this one is the low-priced copy for the "Indian sub-continent" (as they call them) in Black-and-white.The book is excellent for someone just starting Excel, or for someone who wants to enhance his/her knowledge on the tools available in the latest avatar of Excel - Excel 2016. This is also useful for programmers in Excel VBA like me, because you need to know that a feature exists in Excel, before you try coding for it.The book starts at the very beginning and uses a very clear, basic step-by-step method to complete tasks of the features supported by Excel. For some one who is conversant with Excel tools, and don't know how to perform a specific task (like creating a Pivot Chart and updating it!) just jump into the Chapter/Section, perform the step-by-step task list and you are done.I would definitely recommend the book to anyone who wants to learn or enhance their existing knowledge on Excel.
