beautiful story
This book touched my heart!! I have no words without ruining the storyline! One thing I loved is Cain is obviously rich but that isn’t part of their story. If anything Rachel’s study is the power play- I think that makes this story unique! He doesn’t save her- the metaphorical Angel does!

Again, a hit and no miss
Yes again, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The stories behind Rachel and Caine were interesting. The only thing I had trouble getting past was reading Caine's full name without thinking of someone else.

3.5 starts good premise and back story
I have read every one of Vi Keeland's books. I would score it on the higher side for the back story. It was creative and interesting. TA falls for her professer not knowing that they had a history that went as far back as when she was 10 years old. He saved her and her sister from further abuse and I loved him for that. I don't think the chemistry was a palpable as some of these authors' other novels. I liked the heroine and I really liked the hero when he was younger. It seemed like he had a 'chip' on his shoulder when he was older. Maybe I missed a few ques when I read it and I might go back and read it again. I have read my favorites from these authors up to four times. EGOMANIAC is still my favorite.

Rachel and Caine -- Full Circle!
I always love Vi Keeland's books. The plot is always imaginative and with some super chemistry to keep you involved in the story. This was no different. I loved the plot line -- it was so unique and kept me on my toes. I liked Caine a lot. He went through some significant heartbreak in his past, but I also found some of his past behavior icky. I wasn't crazy that he had been on academic probation for sleeping with a student. I liked Rachel's feisty personality, but I found her very offputting at times. She was always trying to make Caine jealous and behaved like a high schooler most of the time. I also felt sorry for Davis. I know he was brought into the storyline as an obstacle for our leads, but he seemed like a great guy and deserved better.

Wow what a story
Had no idea where this story was going to go but I thought it was a brilliant story line. Loved the line when Rachel's mother explained to her that if she needs help she was to come to church. She asks her " what if God is busy" her mother replies then he will send an angel to help. And little did she know that was exactly what Caine was. That brought tears to my eyes. Absolutely loved this book. I read a lot of romance and never came across a story line quite like this one.

~ 5 Feisty Stars ~
Well let me start by saying this book was AMAZING!!! Vi Keeland knows how to give her a readers a fabulous 5 star read.It was so not what I was expecting to be. After reading the blurb I thought this book was going to be a fun and entertaining student/teacher romance story. And it was all that, but it was so much more!!! This story was so much deeper and more emotional than I thought it would be going in.I should know by now not to underestimate a Vi Keeland book. This woman definitely knows how to put my emotions and heart through the wringer. This has to be one of my favorite books of hers so far, and I have loved every book of hers that I have read. Her stories are fun, sexy, entertaining but also heartfelt and emotionally charged. You can’t help but fall in love with all the characters she gives us. I think this is one of the only books where I haven’t hated someone the author introduced us to. All of the secondary characters were great and added to the story in some way. Her stories always suck me in and I devour them in less than a day and this book was no different. The flow and pace of the story was spot on. I loved that this story was filled with a lot of outside drama….the focus was primarily on Caine and Rachel. Their love story was intriguing enough that it kept me enthralled and turning the pages (quickly)Beautiful Mistake is a standalone novel told from primarily Rachel’s POV but we do get some chapters from Caine’s. The way this story was told and unfolded I thought was perfect. It held a little bit of suspense, but was also kind of predictable, but it was never boring!! This story followed the journey of Rachel and Caine. I don’t want to say to much about their story because this is a book that each reader needs to unfold themselves. I loved the banter between Caine and Rachel and the sexual tension was kindle melting, but when they got together…holy explosion!!! HOT!!!!So if you are a fan of the forbidden student/teacher romance but also want a story with heart and emotion, then give this book a try. This was a more than a love story, it was a story about forgiveness and moving on. If you are a fan of Vi Keeland’s you don’t want to miss this newest addition to her fantastic collection. If she is a new author to you….pick up this gem, you won’t be sorry!!!!

really good
A little rushed in some areas but so good, it made me emotional. I loved Caine and Rachel. I’m not really a churchy or very religious person but this was a sweet and faith filled romance about second chances and soulmates, that was also steamy and spicy.

Beyond Heartwarming
For a girl who likes wholesome romances sprinkled with some spice, this was a homerun. There was a couple typos and grammatical errors, but only a few and they didn't detract from the story at all.I enjoyed every second of the book.

This was a fantastic read!
This was a fantastic read!"I told you I didn't bite students...I don't. But I make no promises about not biting feisty TAs."When Rachel Martin first meets Caine West, she thinks he's someone else and completely blasts him. She's pretty mortified when she realises her error and, worse, when he turns out to be her professor and she's his new TA. From the first moment they meet, there's no denying there's a connection between them, and the more time they spend together, the chemistry between them is impossible to ignore. However, both carry a lot of baggage from the past."Ever hear a song for the first time and you don't know the words, but the music is really familiar?...You're that song. I don't know any of the words, but the tune is so [...] familiar."Gosh, I need to make a plan to get through more of this author's backlist as her writing is just wonderful. Each time I read one of her books, I find them funny, hot AF, and pretty emotional, and this story was no different. Rachel was sassy, capable and just totally herself. There was nothing about her I didn't like. She was adorable when she was nervous and I liked that she tackled difficult situations head on. Caine was an enigma to Rachel and the flashbacks to his past intrigued me. I realised pretty soon where the plot was taking us and I was really looking forward to the conclusion. I thought he was pretty thrilling with his dirty mouth and his blatant attraction to Rachel but, at the same time, my goodness, his protective heart and the fact he was in touch with his emotions? Yep! I was a goner for him. Although Caine and Rachel were professor and TA, this story wasn't really about forbidden love. To me, it was more about connection, destiny, and life coming back round full circle. Fab read!

A gorgeous story of love, hope & happiness.. With a sinful side
Eeeep what a truly wonderful read. Loved it! And what I loved most, was that I got so much more than i expected.I was expecting a teacher/student romance, the kind that's packed with taboo stuff (which the I don't read that much of come to think of it) but crikey did I get an amazing story that was perfectly balanced & so fluid in it's writing, that I was swept along on this perfect wave of gorgeousness, laughing, drooling & clutching my kindle as I feel in love with these fabulous characters & their crazy story of love, hope & happiness.Soooo enter Professor Caine West & Rachel. Although it is student/teacher taboo, Rachel is an older student at 25 & Caine is the professor in his early 30's. If you don't usually dig this sort of thing, i personally felt it worked really well & yeah although it has the premise of taboo I didn't really get that vibe that much.Rachel is gorgeous, even with a past that has left it's mark. She is firecracker feisty, sassy & super smart, all while being a really sweet human being. Like every other strong woman I've loved, she also has a wicked side & I thought she made a fantastic little temptress in all her sultry, devious ways. I loved her smart mouth & although at times I felt she was a tad immature, knowing how hot/cold Caine was at certain moments, I figured she was entitled to be a bit stroppy in places. As for Professor West.. HmmmmMmmmm now this is a man I could have worship me any day. Yeah alpha & all that blah, but he is like my favourite chocolate, so delicious & sinful on the outside, but as soon as i bit into him - damn he's all soft, gooey & divine on the inside. He is sexy smart, charmingly funny & has enough of an edge to make sure you know he is all man & has a sinful dominant streak. But above all that goodness, he's caring, giving & very lovable. His past has 100% shaped him, but not in a good way & that made my heart ache for him at times. This man just needs to allow his heart to love & be loved..A new semester, a new professor & a whole new set of rules begin & wow, we have sparks flying, currents pulsing & enough sexual tension you can cut it with a knife. From start to finish their connection was on fire & gloriously addictive. It was so easy to get lost in their words, which made it simply impossible to put down. The fun, angst, heartache, drama was all relevant & well placed & none of it was an effort or unnecessary. Instead it added depth & understanding leading to the BIGGEST bloody plot twist EVER. Ohhhhhhh sneaky much!! I never, not one little bit saw it coming until THAT moment & gawd it was like a sucker punch. It transformed this sexy, fun taboo read into something with meaning & a whole lot of heart ache.Vi once again delivered another mesmerizing book, filled with the best kind of emotions that grace any amazing romance read. Loved every single bit!!

ok but not as good as other keeland books
This was ok but hard to get into and lacked the passion of the invitation and rivals. Still enjoyed it but found myself a bit bored at times and didn’t really connect with characters

I enjoyed this book..I felt it had been influenced by the Gabriel's Inferno series and other romance books but it was a good way to chill out and I liked the characters.
