From hot cocoa, to my morning mocha, this is a kitchen staple in my home. I love that it not only tastes amazing, but the quality ingredients take it to the next level. First of all, I so enjoy scooping this out of the round container, rather than a plastic bag! Way less messy! The serving size is quite generous, and I’m able to only use half of what’s recommended, which then of course lets it last a bit longer. Even at half, it’s amazing how little the sugar content is for such a creamy, chocolaty product!

Overall I like this product. The price isn't too high, the dark chocolate notes is definitely there. It doesn't taste like chemicals, and it's sweet enough to give people their sweet tooth satisfaction. But for you to truly enjoy this product, the fat of the milk is a necessary compound to make the dark chocolate truly decadent. I used water and you definitely taste like something is missing. You definitely taste that this hot chocolate is not meant to be used with water. Using water really brings out the water's ability to water down the chocolate flavor. So use milk. If you are lactose intolerant and want to use water based hot chocolate, this is not the product for you. There are a lot of hot chocolate companies that actually makes better tasting water binding hot chocolates. But if you follow directions and use milk, then this is pretty good.

This is my favorite cocoa powder. I have been using it to make mocha in the morning for several years. I sometimes bought directly with equal exchange website and sometimes here through Amazon. My last order didn’t come out too well. There was cocoa powder all over when I opened it. It was sent on an Amazon paper bag instead of a box like usual. The paper label seemed to be different. The one on the left is a previous logo and the one on the right is a new one. However, the powder taste the same. Maybe the company just changed their logo.

Exactly what I wanted!! Organic, clean, added natural sugar, but not too much. Perfect amounts of everything. Absolutely Delicious.

Unbeatable combination of value and good taste if one ignores the directions. Although the primary ingredient listed on the container is caned sugar I find that sweetness is insufficient. Chocolate flavor is very strong and overpowering in my experience if container directions calling for four tablespoons full / 8oz of milk or milk substitute are followed which would give only 8.5 cups per container. My hot beverage cups are about 16 ounces and I find that two teaspoons full of the mix gives a rich chocolate flavor but that I need to add a " smidgen" ( about 1/16th teaspoon) of pure stevia powder to provide sweetness. That combination produces a good flavor with 2% milk and a gourmet flavor used with 80 calories vanilla almond milk. This combination also makes the cost about 22% that of following directions yielding 45 eight ounce servings instead of just 8.5.

I enjoy a nightly treat of a cup of non-dairy hot chocolate. I have been enjoying the non-dairy Swiss Miss. I saw this and figured that it would be richer and more enjoyable. I was so wrong. I made this with extra creamy oat milk. I couldn't wait to finish the cup and honestly I wish I had just dumped it. It was not good. The taste is a bitter and as much as I expect some bitterness with dark chocolate, I figured that it would be balanced here. It is not. It is a lingering bitterness that just did not leave the palate. Also, the product did not fully want to dissolve in the HOT milk. It mixed but not fully. Not the biggest of deals there but it was a factor. I really like the ease of hot water with the Swiss Miss. I had thought of trying this with hot water but I can only imagine it would be so much worse than it is with the milk. Sorry to say that this was a waste of money for me. Not sure if there is anything I can do with the rest of the product, but I highly doubt I will be making another cup of hot chocolate with it again. I hate leaving negative reviews so I am giving this three stars but honestly, I really think it only deserves one.
