Suprisingly not too sweet - very pleasant tasting but THICK
Iโve tried a lot of vegan protein powders, and some of them are just sickly sweet. I do not understand why because you can add what you want to them, including dates to sweeten things up. But this powder is not sweet. It has a very nice flavor profile and is not overly sweet at all. I do not have to add any dates when I add my banana and my kale to this powder but some may want it a little sweeter, but I prefer this completely. It is easy enough to use, but it is a big giant scoop that you do need to use. And I found that for my morning smoothie it just makes it so super thick using the full dosage. So I use maybe about a half or a little bit over half of a dosage and that works well for my needs. Again, I just use water, this powder, a banana and a bunch of kale. I would totally get this again as it is a decent price for the amount of servings as well. And again the taste is very nice.

Pea Protein that actually tastes good
I am no longer able to drink whey protein powder as it does not agree with me. I have tried several different brands of Pea Protein and I find the taste to be absolutely disgusting! I was about to give up on Pea Protein but I thought I would give one last try. Wow! I canโt believe how impressed I am by this NOW Brand vanilla Pea Protein. It doesnโt taste quite as good as whey protein vanilla, but itโs pretty darn close. I actually really like the taste. I frequently mix one scoop with half a banana and a small handful of berries. I have also started to use this mix to make homemade popsicles and I eat them when I am craving ice cream. This is a great product. I suggest you try it out!

Low sugar, low calorie, high sodium plant protein!
I was looking for something with low sugar, low calories, and low sodium. Unfortunately this is not a low sodium product (540mg per serving,) however I decided with the benefits it didn't matter so much. I like that the allergen factor is very low for this, being a vegetable protein, with a good amount of protein in just half a scoop (25g protein in a serving, 12.5g in a half serving.) The flavor is vanilla, but the toffee part adds a little difference. I am getting use to that difference with my smoothies full of fruit, but I had also been looking for a vanilla protein powder to blend up with ice and coffee for a healthy way to drink iced coffee. This works well for that. My coffee smoothies with this in it, the powder did tend to settle, so I did have to shake it up every so often as I drank it throughout the morning. I feel much better doing this than having something with an excess of sugar like some other protein powders. I know this doesn't much matter, but something to consider, I will say this is a much finer powder than some other protein powders I have used, I made quite a mess the first few times getting it from it's container to the cup. I do believe, however, I will be purchasing this again!

My thoughts about the pea protein.
This protein powder is a acquired taste if added to milk only but once I got past that I really like the taste. It also goes really well in a combined shake. I recommend giving it a spin.

Tastes like dirt
Tastes horrible. Has a very earthy, bland taste. If you're used to - and enjoy - whey protein...don't even bother. Not worth it. I'll never get pea protein again ๐คฃ

Overly thickums
I've used levels before this and man oh man this is so THICK in comparison, it makes it a task just finishing one protein shake, will not purchase again unfortunately. Texture was overwhelming. Flavor wasnt bad though

I Gotta Pea!
Me to my 16 year old athlete son, "here, try this it's pretty good."Him: What is it?Me: It's pea proteinHim: WHAT??!!!Me: it's pea protein. Try it!Him: Dad are you crazy?!! I'm not drinking ANYTHING made with pea! That's gross!! I'm not drinking that crap!Me (and I just had to say it): It's NOT crap, it's PEA!!As a user and experimenter of many different types of protein powders, I have to say, this one is unique. Like the other reviewer mentioned, this is indeed a lot like flour consistency out of the jug. It will get all over your hands and counter top just trying to get the scooper out. But that's where the negatives stop. The taste is very good, and it mixes well. Read the product description. It has everything you want in a good protein powder including non GMO ingredients and no milk and no soy.Mix this with a few packs of instant fat free/sugar free vanilla pudding and a cup or so of almond milk. Throw in some dark chocolate morsels and you have got one HECK of a healthy snack that tastes just like cookie dough.A few caveats:1) higher in sodium than usual protein powders2) take this fwiw, but just came across a research article that stated that extra protein is very healthy up to about age 40. People between 40-60 should avoid too much extra protein and those over 60 should increase protein consumption. Don't have a link so research on own.3) it contains a bit of xylitol so if your stomach is sensitive to that additive, be careful. It's not that much, but could irritate sensitive people. The good news is that pea protein is most likely way healthier than whey (cow) and DEFINITELY healthier than soyBy the way, my son drank it and actually loved it!

Cold pea soup high in sodium served in a dirty ashtray. Glad I got it on sale.
I tried it in a shaker cup and it smells like vanilla toffee, but tastes like pea soup. I've had pea protein shakes before, so I expected a little pea flavor, but I also expected a little vanilla and toffee, and it's not there. Some other lingering, musty flavor is there that I had to wash out with a handful of corn chips and then gum, but it's not vanilla toffee. I tried adding some Torani, and it just seemed to make it more ashy. I tried a spoonful in my oatmeal, but that was weird. I tried half a serving mixed with oat milk and some strongly-flavored vanilla Slimfast from the back of the cabinet, and it was only slightly easier to swallow.I gave it 2 stars because I have actually had worse and I think with the right extras I might be able to drink it, but I'm not sure how I can use up 22 servings right now. Even if it tasted the way the label implied, I didn't notice the sodium content until logging it, so I'm not going to be using more than a quarter serving ever.
