These are amazing! i cannot wait to try some other colors on friends systems. Already have 2 sets of the violets ordered and getting another set for a friend now. These are much brighter than the stock ones, and the color is gorgeous. Only wish they had an RGB one that rotated colors or controlled it somehow. Or maybe just more colors to chose from. But what they offer is incredible. Very easy to install, and is possible without removing the battery holder, but i recommend just saving the time and removing it. 3 simple screws more and then its easier to work the clip on the micro ribbon cable.

Got for my sister along with one of their shells - she was able to install, the whole build is fiddly work but everything with this part seemed to go as expected for her and it looks great completed. Def. buying from eXtremeRate again.

The lights went really well with my controllers! In my opinion they are a little brighter than the original green but not overly kill your retina’s bright. I appreciated the plastic pry tool that was included because it helped remove the case with relative ease. The tutorial video that was provided through a QR code in the package was easy to follow and made modifying other parts much easier to understand.

If you're patient, take your time, and have no trouble following instructions then you can do this!! 🫶🏻 It looks intimidating but is honestly really easy to do, don't let it fool you. I followed a couple of YouTube tutorials and everything went smoothly for me. You'll get more comfortable with it as you go. It's nice that you have tools provided in the package they work well, but if you have your own better quality tools use those instead. I wish that they sent tweezers, make sure you grab some before you get started because you will want them to hold on to the ribbon cables. I also recommend keeping some little bowls or containers where you work, one for new screws, old screws, old buttons, new buttons, etc. The more you keep things organized the less intimidated/stressed you will feel while working. Good quality, the purple lights fit great with my purple shell, I love it!!!

Definitely not the easiest thing to switch but if you’re really careful and you take your time, you’ll definitely great results. My sl/sr buttons wasn’t working and since Nintendo isn’t taking the joycons in because of COVID I decided to try and fix it myself. I found the piece I needed and it also came in violet my favorite color. Switch it out and honestly I’m so very happy with the results. Can’t wait to try out more. (Remember though it voids warranty if you change original parts) I had nothing to lose and did it. So glad that I did.

I love it works perfect. It really pops on the side of my joy cons. I just love it.

I purchased this to replace a broken LED strip in one of my original Joy-Cons. It fits and works perfectly. As others have mentioned, they are significantly brighter than the original LEDs, which bothers me a tad. I installed these using tools I already had from replacing my Joy-Cons' analog sticks, so I can't speak to the quality or comfort of the included tools. Additionally, I didn't install the dock LED, so I have nothing to say about it either.
