Excellent product for Broken Tile repair
After heavy rains this winter I discovered a leak onto our bedroom ceiling. Upon checking our roof I found a badly broken tile and began a search for materials suitable for its reliable long-term repair. My key criteria included: * Exceptional bonding to my cement tile material * Long-term elasticity to accommodate differential expansions over time and weather conditions * Waterproof to a maximum extent to resist debonding after months & years of winter rains * Ability to last for years of exposure to direct sunlight and high rooftop temperatures * Be easily workable and able to readily wet to my bonding surfaces to achieve a reliable long-term waterproof bond In the past I have used black Polyurethane roof-patching materials with good success, particularly when I pretreated the area to be sealed with a painters solvent to achieve extremely good surface wetting of difficult to clean, often dusty rooftop surfaces. For my current tile-bonding application, I should be able to achieve good surface cleaning, and my previous black Polyurethane roof-patching material was no longer available. So after reviewing a number of bonding-material candidates I went with this DAP material in a gray color to sort-of match the gray tile. The one apprehension I had was the number of negative reviews about the excessive stiffness of the material as received by some Amazon reviewers. As my tile crack was weathered and filled with dirt, I decided to open my tile crack up into a V-groove with a diamond saw...thus producing smooth virgin tile surfaces for the caulk to bond to. The V-groove also aids in working the caulk into the joint to assure total filling and thorough surface contact. To expand the total bond area, the surface of the tile was also thoroughly cleaned adjacent to the groove and along the tile edges with an angle-grinder power wire brush to allow the crack adhesive to be spread out onto the tile surface adjacent to the V-groove and to seal the tile left longitudinal side crack which feeds water to the overlap seal with the adjacent tile. Since the lower part of the overlap seal on the left side is interrupted by the break, and is not visible from the surface, it represents a more difficult situation to reliably seal. This was addressed by buttering the left overlap seal break area with caulk before sliding the tile piece into place, and then filling the left-hand tile joint with caulk to minimize water reaching this difficult sealing area. Despite a number of negative comments about the excessive stiffness of the DAP caulk, it was found to be exceptionally easy to eject and spread, and appeared to wet surfaces immediately, and trowel smoothly, promising a excellent waterproof bond. My guess is that those negative reviews about excessive stiffness may be associated with folks that didn't recognize the cartridge is shipped with an internal diaphragm that must be punctured with a ram rod down the snout after the cone tip is cut off. Once this was done, my caulk flowed extremely easily. So far...highly recommended. We'll see how long it lasts!

Smoothes easily - a joy to use.
My application was to seal the edges of my much-used Toro Timecutter SS 4235 lawn tractor seat where the vinyl is supposed to meet the HDPE shell. The sealant tube manufacturing date is located inside the tube on the cap that is pushed by the caulk gun. My tube was manufactured 11 months before shipping to me. The consistency of the sealant was similar to cake frosting from a store-bought can. A wooden craft stick easily smoothed the sealant where I wanted it to go. The finished result looks much better than I expected. After first using paracord to mechanically stitch the vinyl through a few holes I drilled in the HDPE seat shell, I used most of one tube on the gap at the seat edges and it seems a very sturdy repair. The sealant covered the gap and the paracord knots. I used the leftover sealant on the lawn mower tires where blocks of tread had broken off. I don't expect the tire repair to last, but it cannot hurt to use the sealant there and I don't want to try to store an opened tube of sealant for very long. Even though the sealed gap on the seat looks just fine, I did purchase "CRAFTSMAN Riding Mower Seat Cover, Large" which fits the seat exceptionally well and hides the repair completely. I will look for more applications for this sealant and will gladly purchase it again.

Would recommend for cracks in walls. Just the right product for the job
I did a lot of research and settled on this product to complete the project I was performing. I have a cinder block home that has stucco over it then painted. There seems to be a shift in the foundation over the years and there were numerous cracks on the outside walls. While I new this profuct would not hold my house together, not only do the cracks look bad, but water and bugs could get inside the walls. I read the directions and put on some rubber gloves since this stuff is heck to get off your hands, and basically ran a bead of it on top of the cracks then pushed it in and smoothed it around to blend in with the stucco. It says to wait 7 days to paint over it with no primer needed. I painted over it in 7 days and it looks professionally done. I would buy this product again if needed.

DAP is well know and great products
Price about the same as big box stores, but more readily available. Ordered 3 tubes but only receive two due to poor packaging. Tubes have a sharp spout and should have been in a box not an envelope which was torn open and one tube missing. Amazon was great and refunded the cost of one. Product is good and performed as it should.

worked for leak
Needed to seal leak along base of garage wall, worked well and no longer get water. It bonded to both wood and concrete, and we have since had a big storm and no water came through. I was honestly not expecting it to work, so I was very pleased. Was very thick, and a bit hard to apply, but I also have weak hands so not going to be too hard on it. Stronger people probably have less issues. It worked, and that is more important. Was a bit expensive, but it went a long ways. I will see how it lasts over time to give it my full approval, but if it holds up for a reasonable amount of time, I would use again.

Great product
Had to put back together a piece of concrete that had been manufactured to look like unpolished granite with gray veins throughout. Dopey kids stood on it and cracked it in a bunch of places. This gray adhesive allowed us to put the slab back together perfectly. You’d never know it was cracked. Highly recommend

Wow. This stuff is a challenge to apply.
Obviously, this is a quality product based on reviews. However, if you're a novice at applying caulk, I highly suggest you skip this product. The first challenge is trying to get the product to come out of the caulk gun. Left in sun for two hours, no luck. The tube finally burst and then the real fun began. It has the consistency of chewing gum. I ended up applying and smoothing out with my finger. The end result was NOT a pretty caulk line but a messy one. I'm sure a professional caulker could apply this product easily if they're able to get the product to come out of the tube, but not an amateur. In a nutshell, if you enjoy playing with sticky chewing gum, this is your jam!

Completamente tapado!
El producto estaba completamente tapado de la parte superior, una vez hecho el corte en el aplicador y utilizando una pistola de presión, el contenido no salía, después de aplicar demasiada fuerza, apenas logró moverse y comenzó a salirse por la parte de abajo.

dried product
I couldn't use the product because it was dry. It has good quality but be sure seller doesn’t send you old product. Otherwise, like me, you will throw it away without using it.
